If you drop all the way down one of the noobs could still get lucky and wind up with a lot of tiles to themselves. I honestly think this drop to the bottom strat is terrible. You immediately put your back against the wall and have to hope nobody up high plays well.

The only flaw that I found while trying this strategy is that the players can sometimes make the upper floors last a while so sometimes I ran out of tiles on the bottom floor before others fell down.However in my 6 attempts I got about 4 wins so it is a reliable strategy.

People who complain these trick ruins the game...it doesnt. It just shows you another way to approach the game. When everyone is doing this trick, the one who doesnt and jumps through the first few levels will win because there isn't enough space for 5-6 players to stand on at the lowest floor.

The problem is that people start looking up stupid strats to use against kids and people who are there to enjoy the game. I dont even have to play the game to say this wouldn't work, I believe there are 8 layers in total and going to the bottom would leave you with near nowhere to go. The other players (assuming they would try and stay as high as possible) would have more space to go with the 7 layers and whatevers left of the bottom after you're done on it, even with a high player count they would do better. Also if someone else does this strategy then the bottom will have even less space and result in you getting out faster. Instead of this I have 2 options, A. Just try and stay as high as possible and wait for the others to mess up or run out of space, or B. You go down to perhaps the second or third layer and do the strategy in this video, this will likely end up resulting in you being able to stay above them once they run out of space on the top floor and fall down, aswell as make paths to take without worrying about someone going over it.

@@juleskounde2972 I came up with this idea myself the second time I got into this mode and tried it. However, the opponents came down way too quickly and landed on the side and besides that, till the entire lower layer was basically gone, there was still a guy on a platform higher. Besides, you can actually look down on the lower platform and if you see the center is gone, just try to land on the side. So even if you tried to stay at the top and fell to the last platform over time, you'd still be left in the same spot as falling down directly to the last, but if you actually manage to obtain highground for a longer amount of time, you basically get a free advantage so always try to profit off of the highest possible platform.

This strategy can work, but it's not 100%. All depends on the players and how many are in the game at the time. With so few, this strategy is great. With so many, there would be more at the bottom taking up tiles. The game has evolved a little more now that people have had more time to play. Surviving Hex-A-Gone requires focus and attention to your surroundings, especially where you would like to drop next.

Yeah 90% of Hex-A-Gon matches now are won by some dude who's still up on the third level just nailing it with half the floor still to play with. But that's kind of the nature of this game, the "meta" moves pretty quick as people get wise to it, because the entirety of the mechanics are very simple.

I don't have this game, but it depends on how many hexagons are on higher levels, if its the same amount on every level he can easily lose this way, but if there is a significant increase in the amount of hexagons the lower you go its worth considering when no one else is doing the same thing, with just 2 players down there its probably already a lose. As far as i see it, the amount of hexagons double until the last floor. Of course the safest strategy is staying as high as you can, but its mostly just luck if everyone knows what they are doing.

This trick is rendered useless when there’s one or two players in the lobby who know what they’re doing and recognize the strategy you’re doing. They’ll hop hexagon to hexagon slowly at the top and wait for you to run out of tiles

Decent players normally last on the higher levels way longer than this, so I wouldn't really recommend this strategy, by jumping down all the way, that's also 1 person less to remove tiles from the higher levels, extending the duration other people can stay up there even longer. You're always going to run out of tiles before the others like this.

This strategy is pretty risky. If a player up high manages to sperate themselves from the heard and gets a lot of tiles to themselves, you'll get stuck on the bottom and run out before they do. This is more of a gimmick than a competitive strat. You're dependant on the other players doing exactly what you need them to do.
