I just had to tell you that I enjoyed watching your visit to my town and area. I have been living just north of Franklin, Cowee, for 16 years now. I'm a native New Yorker, 70 years old now, and love it here. I live in a small cabin on a mountain with my dog (loved watching your dog at the groomers), and think I have been brought to heaven. You captured Macon county and northern GA, (that winery is just north of my vet's office) perfectly. Not that I want traffic here, but I love showing off this area. My beautiful secret. Thank you for making me proud. Be safe in your travels. Karen.

Your video popped up on my home page. I was born and raised in Franklin. Those mountains are home. My family still lives there and I was just back there last weekend. It's so weird to see my hometown on a KZbin channel😄 fun fact, where Pickin on the Square is used to be the town water fountain. Myself and several friends used to soap it back in the day when we were in middle school. I'm 58 now so I think I'm safe😂. Awesome video. OMG at 15:15 my friend from high school son was in your video😮

Fall colors....23 North until it ends in Mackinaw City, Michigan...Mill Creek RV park 5 miles from Mackinaw Bridge. Beautiful views of the bridge, ferry rides to Mackinaw Island....after a week, move down to Traverse City and all the wine vineyards and brew houses along with the best fall colors that I have seen....late September until mid October is the best time...no crowds, great camping and beautiful colors.....just be sure to head south by the third week in October.....gets kinda cool up there.....

Just saw this one and loved it. You are correct to push back to the 3rd week in October to catch the peak foliage. It was great fun seeing Chads folks on a Goldwing, same vintage as mine. I called it my rolling sofa! Consider a nice long 2 wheel ride up to Boone/Blowing Rock area. See Grandfather Mtn. Some awesome biking and sights. 👍

I realize it a year ago you were there. I've always wanted to go up into the Shenandoah Valley during the winter with snow on the ground. I love snow on my terms. No shovels allowed. I did my share of shoveling snow and the snow blowers on building when I was a E-2 and E-3. I think it may have had my name on one. I lived on the side of the mountain in Duluth Minnesota and had to shovel my share of the side walk. My steps down to the road and my porch. Before going on duty.
