I'm a bartender up here in the canyon, near West Glacier. The water; you get people coming in all day long, "Can I just get a glass of water?" Same in restaurants. It's a hassle. Just easier on everyone. The weather; you're in The Rockies, you're in Montana.

I lived in Whitefish 1980-83 and went to the park often.. I have not been back since and long to go. It was so different then, with no crowds. Each summer I did a full moon bicycle ride from the West entrance to Logan Pass summit then back. I love living near Zion now, but these videos were so wonderful for me to bring up great memories. Thanks! 👍😎

I love Columbia Falls. My granddaughter was born there and I also have a cousin (family) that lives there. I enjoyed your road to the sun ride but I could never go on it. I am terrified of heights, drop offs and cliffs. I have been as far as the restricted parking lot. The lake is beautiful and the trees and mountains are awesome. We are looking forward to the day we can get on the road. So many places to see and tons of family back out west that we miss.

I began to think I was in Huckleberry Hell last summer after a month in Grand Teton, Yellowstone, and Glacier. It was all huckleberry, all the time. At least when we went up into Waterton Lakes NP in Alberta, it was Saskatoon berries. Like I could see any difference. We did one of those red bus tours from Apgar across the GTS road to Many Glacier. That was a lot of fun. It was freaking cold when we started out, so the Jammer kept the roof covered, at first, but as soon as the temperature reached 40, off came the lid, and we were pretty much frozen by the time we reached Logan Pass. There are blankets on each row. It did get up into the low 60s, thankfully. Somewhere out there is my Soggy Dollar Bar hat from BVI. It went flying out along the GTS road. Hang on to your hat. Great episode, as always.

I'm really enjoying your video on Glacier National Park. We've never been but definitely need to explore. Great videos. I think the plane you heard going over was a jet refueler from Fairchild Air Force Base near Spokane, Wa. Keep up the great videos. I'm getting some good ideas for my husband and I to do when he finally retires.

One of the geographical wonders about Glacier National Park is it is the lowest in elevation pass of anywhere in the Rockies. That is why the Empire Builder, James J. Hill built the Great Northern Railway through this area of the Rockies. His son was the person that promoted Glacier to become a National Park the RR paying to build most of the lodges in the park. Thanks again for bringing back so many great memories..... 😊🤗😊

I love watching you two. I am from Missoula, MT, and have spent a fair amount of time in Glacier. Next trip stop in East Glacier and eat at Serrano's Mexican Restaurant. I believe they will bring you a glass of ice water. But I prefer a pitcher of Dos Equis. :) Oh yes, the food is pretty good too. If your amateur radio (hams) users, the third weekend in July there is a "HamFest" held at the Three Forks Campground. The campground also has lots of space with pull though spots.

I live on Flathead Lake and have several real bear stories. Glad to share if you're interested. The water thing is not that different from other areas. Conservation kicked in pretty much everywhere a couple of decades ago and I usually have to ask in my own travel experiences. The high density population areas are where you tend to get water automatically. Big city folk need to get out more often. You guys go with the flow nicely. When in Rome, do as the Romans do. Happy trails.

Beautiful video. I will see more. If you go back, I suggest you might like the Middle Fork Flathead River all-day float trip. Glacier Raft Company is set back from the road on right side after you go thru the tunnel into West Glacier. ..ask about the flow: rapids or a little whitewater. The food is great, so I recommend the all-day float trip. ..and yes, you get an oar to help.

Another epic vid! And of course, my favorite park is the STAR of this vid. Since I can't get back to GNP since I live in Hawaii and it's a LOOONNNNGGG way there, I'll just enjoy your enjoyment of my park. When you go back, be sure to hike from Logan Pass to the Hidden Lake overlook. I ALWAY spotted lots of critters - grizzlies, elk, moose, ptarmigans, mountain goats and sheep, and of course, hoary bellied marmots! I had one marmot lead me to his den and wanted me to come in. He kept making sure I was following him. The hike to the overlook isn't too hard and the views are really spectacular! Also, you should go to Swiftcurrent Lake as it's breathtaking. The Many Glacier hotel is similar to Lake McDonald Lodge although much larger. I think you'll find a lot to love about this part of the park. West Glacier, as you've pointed out, is wetter (it's on the west side of the Continental Divide and so gets a lot of snow and rain) but the east side of the divide is dryer but still lots of water! I look forward to seeing your vids of Yellowstone and Tetons. We really also love the Tetons for their absolutely unreal beauty. You should be able to see lots of critters while you're there. We've always seen a lot of moose and elk, and bears in the distance. Keep up the great work. And eat a lot of huckleberries while you're in the park. If you get a chance, either pick or buy wild huckleberries and make a nice pie or cobbler! Unbeatable taste of the Wild West!!

Love Glacier. Been there a few times over the years, both in spring and fall but never summer. Fall is the best time in my opinion because all the animals are putting on their winter coats. As opposed to spring where they look like moth eaten gramma robes. St Maries resteraunt is very tasty. Many Glaciers is a really good day. It's an up and back but really cool to see. If you have your pass ports head up into Canada and see Waterton Lakes. The town is super friendly and close by is the buffalo paddocks. If you like fishing Police lake is south of the highway that takes you to Waterton. Great fishing in a very productive foothills lake.

When we visited GNP, Rising Sun was closed halfway to Logan Pass because of an avalanche; so glad to see it through your footage! The Huckleberry Patch was our favorite, we have actually ordered pies from them several times and had them shipped to our home, so good!! Worth every penny!

I was there for an avalanche! I was on the wrong side. It was August and the 'Going to the Sun' road was buried under 15' of snow. Nothing to do but wait until a front end loader arrived to shovel enough snow over the cliff to open one lane. Then we scooted by. If it happened while you were there, you'd be blasted over the cliff!

I enjoyed your video very much. I especially like the interaction between you two as it reminds me of my late wife and I as we traveled full time (died 6/2019). You two appear to have something special; you not only have to love your spouse you have to like them a lot to spend 24/7 together in an RV. Our favorite state/place was Maine. I've downsized from our 39 ft Newmar diesel to a 28 ft Phoenix Cruiser to continue to travel without her. My plan is to be in Glacier National Park in the end of May before crossing into Canada to go to Alaska (if the border is open)

If you cross the border and do the Alaska thing you can go up via the Cassier Highway. Sort of my back yard. Two years ago on the Cassier we saw 11 bears in one days drive. Seeing 5-6 or more isn't uncommon. There are campgrounds up there that require tents, pop top campers and bike campers to camp inside an electric fenced portion of the grounds. Bears everywhere, black, brown, cinnamon, Grizzly. Zero bear attacks in the last significant number of years and the most recent ones were in Alaska. We don't hand feed our bears up here so they generally give humans a wide birth. One time i saw a bicycle camper pedal right past a Grizzly feeding in the ditch. They aren't half as dangerous as you may feel they are if you don't habituate them to marshmallows and garbage.

Hi - love the channel as we’ve been watching and subscribed for a couple years. Really appreciate all you’ve made available to the community. We are planning our trip to Glacier, and have come back to these videos as part of our research. While it’s been a while since you visit, do you recall the size limitations on trucks? We have a 22’ Silverado - not a dually, but missing the size by one foot. Is the 21’ a “recommendation” and did you see larger truck/buses on Going to the Sun road? Or is this strictly enforced? I’ve seen reference to both a “not recommended” and a “regulation”. Thanks for any advice you can offer!
