I do have them open, when I'm home. When I leave, the air goes on for Kody. He barkswhen I leave and I don't need neighbors complaining on me lol. Also, the gnats seem to be worse when they're open....😏

Well I’m staying in Florida waiting for my tiny home build it’s finally cooled down the last three days I could turn off that noisy air conditioner and just enjoy the weather! Thanks for sharing the video it’s so relaxing

Happy Tuesday! That was a nice walk. I love the smell of fallen leaves and the coolness in the air. That's good that you had a pretty fall day for your walk. Today was gray in north central Ohio but we will have some nice sunny days on Wed and Fri. That brownie looks soooo delicious!😋❤🍁

Hi Melissa. I met some folks last night from Knoxville TN and told then I wanted to retire outside Newport TN. They all 3 quickly told me “No, you don’t. It’s not a good place at all. It’s a bad place, don’t go there alone at night for sure”! I told them I wanted to go to the tiny community outside of Newport. All they could say was No,you don’t! They said research Knoxville, they have a tiny community (they think). Are they exaggerating?? I want to be close to a town when I retire. How far away is the town you work in again? Take care! ❤😊

I would think, since Knoxville is a much larger city that there would be more crime there than in Newport. Google crime stats of the area

Newport is like any other small town in America. There are good and bad people everywhere you go. I live about an hour away but have friends that live 15 minutes from Newport. I have visited there many times and have found everyone to be extremely nice. I've never felt uncomfortable or afraid. Knoxville also has good and bad places, but the crime rate is very high there. Same for the bigger towns where I live, but I'm also in a smaller town. It is what you make it. Personally, I love the smaller towns where I can drive 20-30 minutes to the larger cities for more choices of shopping, restaurants, etc. Not many of us would be roaming around in the middle of the night. Like I always told my daughter, there is nothing good going on past 10 pm anywhere you would live. I wouldn't let people make you afraid of Newport but suggest if you're able to go check it out for yourself.

I agree, and while I don't know a lot about Knoxville, I think there would be more crime there in a bigger city. Newport has its issues, sure... like every town does. When I have a day off, I get out of Newport and go to the mountains. 😊

Melissa, do they allow people to drive through the tiny house community to look at the different homes or is it private for residence only? My mom and I wanted to drive out there one day and look around but we saw there is a guard shack.

People drive through here all the time! There's a lot of people curious about tiny homes. I've never minded people driving by looking, I answer any questions they have too.

I had no issues. Check to make sure the mute button wasn't turned on (where it shows the picture of the speaker is under the video) It will have a line going thru the speaker if mute is on.
