Mhhhh, i kind of like my quiet evenings. I get to relax and watch all my favorite KZbin channels. I particularly like to either listen or watch videos that help me grow spiritually and that calm my soul. It's great to know that God is always with us.❤❤❤

I do like quiet nights too, but lately.... I've just been.... having a hard time at night. Maybe it's from getting off my antidepressant, idk. I've been off it a month now, i don't feel like it helped that much anyways. I just get down sometimes, think of things I've lost in my divorce, i think of all the good times i had etc ...i suppose it's all normal in healing.

@@italian_grl I understand and can relate. . I have those moments. I can only encourage to get very close to the Lord and perhaps make an effort to get into the word and/or listen to a mentor. I listen to Peggy Joyce Ruth. She has a KZbin channel. Her life story is phenomenal and encouraging and she also teaches in a very heart warming way. Getting closer to God has helped me tremendously and it's also a daily effort. I think you're awesome and I hope you take my advice. You'll be glad you did. 🙏🏻❤️🙏🏻

Yep, nights are harder for me, too. I live alone, really alone now since my dear Maggie passed away (in profile pic). I'll generally have something from KZbin playing in the background or music playing. Even when I'm reading, I'll still play soft classical music in the background. A journal sounds great! That looks like a fun book! I may look into that one. Rude of a stranger to point out Kody. I've only said something in the past because even with Maggie, who was a large dog at 75#, at a normal weight, she still had a lot of joint pain as she aged, and joint meds can really get expensive, plus of course I didn't like knowing she may be hurting. Plus there are similar issues like humans have, being more prone to diabetes or thyroid disease, etc. When she was hurting more than usual (rainy weather), I'd break out the NSAIDs that really helped her, but that's not safe on a regular basis as it can damage kidneys (same with humans). But overall I'm really glad you have him! He's good for you, and he loves you and knows he is loved.

I love this journal!!! I looked on Amazon, and he has quite a few cute journals! I did ok during the winter, and it got dark so early, and all the sudden, I'm just struggling at night! Could be since getting off my antidepressant too, but it is what it is. I don't feel like it helped that much anyways.

I get it. I live on my daughter’s property in a more rural area. She’s never far away but she has her own life . Thank goodness for wifi. I have a small dog too but there are nights when I feel alone.

A nighttime video/journal would be awesome!! I can totally relate to nighttime being the hardest. It's like you said, when you're not doing anything, you mind starts to think about all kinds of things. Most of the time for me, it's things I shouldn't be thinking about. Nothing bad, just memories of the past, people from the past, just things that need to stay in the past. I don't know why my mind goes there, it just does. Sometimes it makes it hard to go to sleep when my mind is racing. So, I'll get on my computer to see if there are any new videos and when there isn't, I'm disappointed and think, well what am I suppose to do now. I'm stuck in a rut same as you, at least you have your mom and sisters. I have no idea what my future holds either. I like the book, 1 Page.....I'll have to see if I can find it online, it looked pretty cool. I'm thinking about making another trip to TN, don't know exactly when, up to Jonesborough and Kingsport this time. I'm trying to find a decent place to rent before I buy again, but can't seem to find decent pricing, of course. When I get up your way again, I'll let you know. Maybe we could grab lunch?! Yes, i completely agree with what u said. Thinking of the past... etc... and it is hard to get to sleep when your mind is racing and won't stop! I too think of things from the past i probably shouldn't. I don't miss a certain someone at all lol but i do miss my house, my daughter, the memories i have. Not all the times were bad. It's very hard. I stayed married longer than i should have because of this! I knew because of health issues and my back problems i couldn't work but part time, i knew i would struggle to make it, and that's true. It's so hard. Not to mention my mental struggles. Smh. All we all can do, is the best we can! And yes, if you ever get up close to this way, let me know. Kody and I would love to meet you. You take care and have a great rest of your week! 🥰🤗😊

I can relate to some degree... I live in a senior development where people are around but they pretty much keep to themselves. I also live alone and my dog definitely helps but I lost my husband and my Mom so I feel pretty alone. I do have a sister and brother but they have their lives. Thankfully I do have my computer so you tube is my best friend. I hope things improve for you and you are able to move closer to your sister!

Thank you. I appreciate that!! I actually did a few videos a while ago on bean station, u can check them out if u want!! I did explain the video why i didn't care for it... mainly, it was far from places to work as well. That place would be fine if i was retired or worked from home. It's a bit "out" there too. I also felt the lots are close together too. Some lots had very little grass for Kody. It also costs more than here. Those lots start at $450 plus extra for trash and water i think. I think it would be great to have a little land with my sister, nobody to complain if Kody is off his leash, etc.

It probably it difficult to be alone in such a small space..bigger homes we have more options..Go to den go living room or even bedroom kitchen. When your in a small space there is no in your invironment..That would be difficult..

Lol he hasn't had one in a long time. It's not like he sits around eating all day. Guess that's what some think. Smh. I know he's big. I'm trying to help. When i take him to the pet vet for shots , they don't even harp on his weight. They know I'm trying my best. The weather doesn't help. Too hot and muggy for either of us, and too many ticks. It gets annoying. Every time i go out, i have to go over him for an hour or so....

how long have you been divorced ? i know what its like being alone. i lost my partner of 29 years, 7 years ago to a massive heart attack. it wasnt a choice or a decision to be made, it was his death while he was at work that left me by myself. i have not met anyone or dated anyone since losing him. if it were not for the tv and the internet, i would have completely lost it a long time ago. along with losing my partner, i ended up losing my home because i got screwed over by the mortgage company. we had insurance on the loan in case something happened the loan would be paid off, but Wells Fargo refused to honor it. and i also lost my car that was just 3 years old. mine wasnt paid for but his was so i got to keep it, but because we were not married, i had to go through his family and get them to sign it over to me. they are wonderful people so there was no problem with that. i am disabled so i couldnt afford to pay for the house and car.

And about "the night time being worse," I think it's because we tend to have more inner dialogues with ourselves. Those dialogues can be very intense and certainly overwhelming. Try to not take harshly what your mind can do to you. Your baby dog would likely be telling you the same thing, if he was able to. He would also be telling you that he is very glad to be with you.
