Wizards and Warriors Channel fantasy animated documentary video series on the lore Warhammer Fantasy Battles Universe continues with an aftermath of our episode on the life and battle of Sigmar Heldenhammer ( • How Sigmar Won His Bat... ). Crisis called the End Times is upon the world and it is beckoned by the Champion of Chaos Archaon the Everchosen. In the aftermath of his conquest if the Norsca and victory over the northern Dwarfs ( • Warhammer End Times: R... ), continues its advance this time attacking Kislev ruled by the Ice Queen Katarin Bokha ( • Warhammer End Times: C... ). This opened the route towards the Auric Bastion raised by the leading wizard of the Empire Balthasar Gelt and its breaking in Ostland culminated at the battle of the Castle Rackspire, where the Empire received unexpected help from the Vampire counts in the face of Vlad von Carstein ( • Chaos Invades the Empi... ). But this was just the beginning and the Chaos incursion into the Empire continued with the Rise of the Glottkin brothers ( • Rise of the Glottkin -... ) which led to the Fall of Marienburg ( • Fall of Marienburg - W... ). The inexorable movement of the Chaos armies continued with the Skaven invasion of Tilea and the siege of Miragliano ( • Skaven Invasion - Warh... ) and during the fall of Bretonnia ( • Fall of Bretonnia - Wa... ). With the fall of Bretonnia and Marienburg before it, the route to the Empire's capital, Altdorf was open and the Emperor Karl Franz alongside his allies from Bretonnia and Vampire Counts had to defend the city ( • Fall of Altdorf - Warh... ). Elsewhere, the Skaven attacked the Lizardmen of Lustria ( • Fall of Lustria - Warh... ), while the High Elves of Ulthuan has to fight their dark Elven brethren ( • Fall of Ulthuan - Warh... ). In other regions, the WAAAGH of Grimgor Ironhide and Nagash were rising ( • WAAAGH! and Nagash - W... ), the latter leading to the fall of Nehekara ( • Fall of Nehekara - War... ). Elsewhere, the Skaven attacked the Dwarfes, leading to the fall of the kingdom of Thorgrim Grudgebearer ( • Dwarves vs Skaven - Wa... ), while the main forces of Chaos were attacking the Empire at Middenheim.

The End Times videos keep having a title beginning with "Fall of..." And there doesn't seem to be any hope on the horizon. Like many other commentators, I never knew much about Warhammer fantasy End Times, only that many fans hated it. After seeing these lore videos I can understand why, though they're still brilliantly made by W&W. I wish W&W good luck in continuing, concluding and starting new lore videos. One day I hope they'll try delving into anime/manga worlds or a return to the Cosmere?

​@@tiffanywyatt5137 warhammer has 3 different timelines in 2 settings, you have warhammer the old world which this series takes places, when the old world is destroyed you will have age of sigmar that is settled in the far future of the old world and there is not really a planet but dimensions(realms) that are protected by that patron realm god. Archeon still is the main villain, and age of sigmar is the actual continuation of warhammer. And you will have warhammer 40k that is settled in earth's far future.

You tell the story well. Great video. Just one thing: The steed of Archaon, Dorghar looks like a demonic horse during the End Times. The mount got an upgrade for Age of Sigmar as the surviving Chaos Gods each sent a new demonic steed for Archaon as a reward for destroying the Old World. Dorghar did not want to be replaced, so it devoured the steeds sent to replace it, thus gaining their powers for itself (the extra heads, wings and stuff). Honestly, if Archaons mount could fly during the siege of Middenheim, he would have flown straight in instead of marching along his army from a duel to the next. :)

And add to that how exciting it was when it was revived thanks to Total War and its success in the recent years, but then considering the direction THAT company went recently, it makes me sad, as unless something change, I predict another End Times in the not so distant future.

A lot of bs happened, but I'm pretty okay with how Valten died. As legendary as he might be, Verminlords themselves, asides from being sneaky skavens, are practically greater daemons in their own right, and a surprise attack from behind is peak skaven. No, the worst things about End Times are the out-of-character moments like the elves suddenly embracing Malekith and characters who disappear suddenly without returning like Skarsnik.

Of course, both seem to be among the greatest battle-stories who are in Warhammer (it would be very similar to Sigmar if they made right after him kets say one about the rise of Bretonnia). Of course it may be that many people would have prefer the "false" endtimes with Archaon which ended in his defeat (and to be hones they may not be as much epic, but they seem less dumb written than the real end times).

Well at least Valten died in battle and not stabbed while he slept in his tent as happened in Storm of Chaos although where was he earlier? You also missed the fact that because it was not Archaon who killed Valten the spirit of Sgmar was released and the God could now return in full - and lead to the Age of Sigmar. Also where were Alarielle and Vlad von Carstein in the siege? Vlad save Alarielle and confronts his possessed wife Isabella, slipping the Carstein ring on her finger before hurling both of them off the walls onto stakes, killing him but saving Isabella who somehow makes her way through the siege lines and ends up in Sylvania with Vlad's first wife Neferata (and her sister Khalida) to wait out the end of the world.

I see lots of misunderstand why gw did end times. Sales is what they told the fans, but the truth is they lost 3 key lawsuits that basically made all their generic fantasy elements impossible to enforce for ip. The descision was made that a new game would be made within the lore (AoS) that would use unique names and design concept that could be better enforced by gw ip. Thus we got a rushed end with the only goal being to create a clear break and space for the new game.
