YAY! I'm so happy he's coming along. Once the enobi gets going it's a good little grower and a reliable bloomer. I was just sick when I saw what kind of condition it arrived in. I might have been more upset than you were. I'm so glad to see he's starting to produce better size growths. And of course I'm still watching

Thanks for Sharing! I got the Chantilly Lace Twinkle as a division from my husband's cousin two years ago. I was new to orchid then, put it moss then bark, did not do well. Until I saw your video about Cattleyas do better with least disturbance to save the roots, I put it in Leca last Dec. It is recovering and bloomed this summer. Now a new growth started a week ago. I hope you will see yours bloom soon. Thank you for your advice! I love your channel!

I have a Chantilly Lace in bloom at the moment. You’re going to be so pleased, it smells beautiful!

Hi, I didn't know it had a fragrance, so exciting :D what would you describe the scent as?
@Jennifer-ef4bo5 жыл бұрын
MissOrchidGirl to me it smells similar to roses but with a subtle hint of spice. It’s not strong at all but you can smell it if you’re next to the orchid.

Thanks for the video! About the second intergeneric, I have one very similar that I think is a Beallara Marfitch 'Renaissance Coral'... Roger has one too.

I always look for the velamen at the base of the green growth sticking out and thats how I know its not a keiki or a flower spike.

Hi Danni. Can you do a video about the catasetum 's growth cycle? I have the Monnierara witch craft
@Kdunksallday5 жыл бұрын
When I didn't get a response I went back through Danni's Playlist and found a few old videos one on when to water and another on the growth cycle. Just search under catasetum care and she mention the Witchcraft there.

Hi Danny, I wanted to know if you still have that Phalaenopsis with the strange white flowers that you bought a few months ago from a flower shop. That looks like a weird Amablis species phal I would like to see an update on it. btw your orchids are looking amazing thanks for the update today.

What has happened when an orchid produces another orchid from the crown? I have a SLC. cattleya, growing very vigorously, produced a sheath from the crown, (and I was so excited), but as I watched for the buds to emerge, low and behold it became another orchid plant. Help!! I struggle just to get blooms and then they turn into more orchids. I believe I am cursed!

Dani, have you ever felt discouraged about growing orchids? I love them soooo much but I have killed a couple and had some bud blast and I’m feeling like I’m not a great orchid mom :(

Feeling this way right now. Finally got a ceologyne to produce a growth and growing when rain came. Yes it was outside in the summer and that kicked it forward. In it came and in 2 days summer long growth died, think rotted with wet and drop in temp. Still have 1 small growth. 1 year and still a novice.

Hi Lauren, oh yeah, everyone feels that way sometimes! My worst was when I lost half my collection to fusarium. And orchids are not the only ones! I still have literal nightmares with my old aquariums overdue for cleaning, or when I left my pet bird alone all day.. Guilt is horrible, but it makes us become better sometimes. So don't worry, you're not alone :)

Hey Danny, just need to ask you how do you know when an orchid has a virus or a fungus. I can recognice the pests but have lost some orchids actually because they start to loose rapidly their leaves and gets darker the stems.
