Fall Out Boy is my favorite band of all time. When they released the first two songs of this new album, my first thought was how awesome they have influence from their original sound in the new album, and then my second thought was how much of a toll that these new songs will have on Patrick's voice. They're tough to perform night in and night out, and I think this performance shows that.. Hope he comes out of this tour alright!

I think they're using a pitch shifter in their chain because the chords shapes they play match those in the recording, but sound a full step down. But they immediately play in E standard in the next song without switching guitars.

@@dhanicuemusic my guess is that these specific guitars have the drip d hipshots tuners on installed on the head stock. That allows them to switch from standard to drop d quickly. I think you can kinda see joe fiddling w the tuners between songs at 22:56. Also I don’t think these are their main tour guitars they use on stage specially for this reason of the hip shot tuners.

@@dtaneyes, they've used hipshot for a few years now to switch from e standard to drop d, but you can see that in LFTOS, Patrick is still playing chords as if he's playing in standard tuning (he's playing power chords with the root on the low e). When he plays an e chord, you're hearing a d. They then go from songs played in standard e tuning (dance) and songs in drop d (sugar, 16 candles, Mmrs). So I think they're just pitching LFTOS down while all other songs are played like they are on the records. It might just be so Patrick isn't straining his voice after playing three shows back to back in LA

A big fan of these guys back in the day, they sounded good , were energetic and you could see tgey loved what they do. Now.. songs (old and new ) still sound great but these guys are done . You can see no one cares and they look like every person going into work on a Monday morning during their performances (robots) , no energy, look bored . One last album and tour to cash in before calling it quit perhaps? I give it 2 years and they will part ways
