I really appreciate Patrick's perspective. The way he speaks shows he really has the experience and knows his stuff (obviously), but he's also humble about it and comes at the digital vs. analog debate in a great way. Seems like a great guy to work with.

At least these guys aren't so pretentious that they have their techs filling in for them. I dig the stories the artists share about their gear as much as the instruments themselves. Great RR PG!!

@@2manyppl There’s a few who have let their techs do the interview. Instead of the actual artist being there to do it. Like Pete in this episode. Off hand I can recall Gavin Rossdale wasn’t present for his either. And I’m a fan and hung out with him. So not throwing shade, just stating the fact. 😂

Joe and Patrick are the reason I play guitar, I remember seeing them live one time randomly and it was the first time I remember thinking, oh two guitars playing different parts (rhythm and lead) and the fact they just look like regular guys made me want to get in it. Same, but I really wish that Gretsch would have listened to Patrick when they made the Stumpomatic. I own a Stumpomatic and there's much left to be desired in that 3 pickup solution! Love the guitar (Corvette) hate the 3 pickups, rotary switch, kill switch, and middle pickup blend control. Seriously, I can't even tell when the middle pickup is on or off! Controls are cramped and confusing!

A few friends of mine used to travel to see them in the early days.. Peabodys in Davenport Iowa, Clinton Iowa (where they had an acoustic style cd/dvd come out) Des Moines Iowa! I even have scribble scratch lyric page for a song they were writing that they gave me. We traveled to Wisconsin! Not to far from the hotel Jeffery dahmer did some things.. we learned that from the group, I think it was more from the dynamite boys singer. Pete, Patrick and Andy would always look for us during those days! Awesome show in Clinton Iowa with Allister at the pig pen! These guys are true people

For those wondering about the "black goose with a red eye," it's a Loon; unsure the meaning for Pete personally but chances are he's seen a few in his lifetime being from Chicago.
