From wildlife spotting moose in the tetons to hot spring soaking to scenic autumn colors drives, fall is a wonderful season for road tripping in Wyoming - especially if you travel solo and slow while camping, hiking, and alpine lake swimming (more like a cold plunge than a swim) through the rocky mountains. From the national park to BLM campsites, we'll slowly watch the fall colors take over the mountain views. All the while, identifying native plants and learning about animals and the nature of full time travelling on the road. Getting away from the jam packed itinerary and glamour of van life to a simple, natural way of living in the great outdoors.

Being a nomad naturalist enables me to reconnect with nature in a whole new way. I hope to inspire this inner peace and happiness in others through a closer relationship with mama nature, through healthy eating, outdoor recreation, edible food gardening/farming, and sustainable living. KZbin has enabled me to better educate and inspire from the road.

Hey y’all! Keep in mind I used MAX zoom for those moose shots. Never approach or go anywhere near wildlife. We can scare them away from their food and water sources, or they can scare us into a life or death experience! Respect the animal and the animal will respect you!

I absolutely love your energy and excitement. You clearly love nature as I do! I'm out of the rehab hospital now and back in my van. I learned to use a walker to get around. I think my days of hiking through the forest are done. But I hope to still travel and finish my bucket list. In spring I'll head to Maine and Vermont to complete my goal of living or staying a couple nights in every state. In the meantime, I still love living vicariously through your travels. Thank you so much for sharing your experiences with us! ❤ Love you Kaylan!

Aww so happy youre out and about again! I have hopes that you may still be able to get some forest walks in. Some might be walker friendly!! Those are some of my favorite places in the east so I hope you enjoy them!! Acadia is amazing and you don’t need to hike to see that! Thanks for all your sweet words van dad!’

Thanks for posting this beautiful video of fall. The yellow tree leaves where out of this would. I don't mean to pry but I hope the nights aren't to cold. Please be careful of the cold. Thanks so very much and God Bless

I didn't expect to see this hot spring. The last time I was there I didn't have a brain tumor and I was with 5 buskers that I met Gardner. I was living in the shadow mountain area. The coolest thing about this place was the fallen trees that were perfectly balanced in a way that you could start walking across the river on one end, make teeter-totter down to the other side. One busker was named Rachel and any time someone was arguing Wirth her she would claim it is just "Rachel discrimination.

Oh wow it’s crazy how much things change! That log is no longer there, surely swept away during a high river! So glad I could give you a little glimpse into your past adventures ♥️

“Thousands more miles on trail, and plenty of wild, strengthening experiences…” -even so, 16 seconds in, the way you gleefully forge through the trails… It’s like every corner and crack is just moments from discovery, and containing how truly excited you are to be back on trail… not a moment to be wasted; the Alders swift changes are soon to be seen. 😌🤌🏼
