Can someone explain why I’ve heard of people using 1/2 oz to 1 oz at sebastion yet in Ponce Inlet people recommend I use 3-8oz weights?

I couldn't tell you. Maybe Ponce inlet is deeper than Sebastian Inlet. I have never fished Ponce Inlet before.

ReelAnglerAdventures no worries if you don’t mind me asking what’s the purpose of such a light weight at sebastion then? Is it so that the bait moves more freely? Or is it supposed to pin it down?

Gio yes it helps let the bait move more freely. The fish at the inlet get lines thrown at them 24/7 365. Anything that u think will make your bait more different than the others do it

@@Fishingboss21 thank you im planning on making a trip next weekend for the first time. A local reccomended i use 40 pd braid- 40 pound flouro leader- 1 oz weight- 4/0 circle hook. does that sound good to you?
