*"Basic fall girl" is what some people call their daily style. There's nothing wrong with that. Some people play it up for social media obviously but no need to knock what makes someone happy. You have your style and it's yours for a reason. If drinking a pumpkin latte, wearing cardigans and sweaters makes someone happy so be it. They're not hurting themselves or others so just let them be* 😂

Yes it does seem kind of late because pumpkin patches close after Halloween, so maybe this was filmed 3 weeks ago or something? But then why wait so long to publish it? Also all the fall decor was gone from the stores lol. This must have been filmed very late October. covid supply chain issues = all the cute fall & halloween decor ran out in september.

I work at Starbucks and Taylor Swift plays all day on repeat. Surprisingly 3-5 days in and I'm not sick of it. But she has a latte now. It's just a nonfat caramel latte but I think any swifties would appreciate it. Edit: You should try an iced chai tea latte with pumpkin and pumpkin cream cold foam. Favorite fall drink and to me it just tastes like fall. You have some spice in the chai and of course pumpkin because fall. (I get a venti iced chai tea latte made with 2 pumps pumpkin and pumpkin cream cold foam. On days I want extra caffeine, I get a shot of blonde espresso. And if I'm feeling like I want my drink really spicy, I get an extra pump of chai. 1 extra pump of chai goes a long way.)

I'm gonna say something very controversial here: I hate pumpkin flavor. I like the spice part of pumpkin spice. I like the scent of pumpkin spice candles (which is 90% spice). But I don't like to eat pumpkin. I don't like pumpkin pie.

Usually I love all the uplifting videos as/is does, but this is shameful. It feels like buzzfeed is judging people who enjoy a certain style? Also I love mei and India but when they said “they still exist” and pointed out a “basic fall girl” that was so unnecessary. Imagine if either of them had been called out like that by some other person, they would probably not be happy! Buzzfeed do better, this internalized misogyny and really isn’t okay.

love this. & I am def a basic fall lover; however, I feel yah on the disappointment with pumpkin patches, some may be different, but from my experience they're aimed more towards kids/small children. Which that's awesome that they have places/activities that are fun for them and help keep them entertained, but what about us adults??? I think there needs to be more adult-friendly/adult only patches. with more bevvy options too- lattes, alcohol, sparkling cider (alcohol & non-alcohol options), wine perhaps, food trucks?, and all the pumpkin patch, corn maze, haunted hayride, smores & campfire, adult activities you desire

Mel made a very good attempt. However, in recent memory, Dorian Electra in their video for, and forgive me but this is the song's title, "F The World" , epitomizes the stereotypical Sweater Weather, Scarf Season, PSL Autumn Leaf Looking, Apple Picking, Basic Fall Girl to a T. For most of the video at least, until Electra gets up to their old shenanigans, so if you're peeking it for a fall fun time, well just mute the song (if it's not for you) and stick to the first part of the video up to 1:50 (it get's borderline NSFW after that minute mark).
