Amazing job capturing the fall colours. Always my favourite time of the year to go portaging.

Really great! I think you should be directing and mixing documentary films. :o) The composition and music mix was excellent. Looking forward to part 2.

Thanks, I get good and bad comments on my music selection across my videos. In the last year, I've tried to rely more on free-license music offerings rather than commercial artists and acknowledge them accordingly. I have found that a bit of music almost always adds to the content though. Appreciate your comments and the time you spent viewing my little vacation.

I'm using a Hennesey expedition. I like it for my purposes and it is a great starter system because the package comes with everything - tree hugger straps and tarp. If I were to start over, I'd probably consider one of the warbonnet models. There is an entire internet forum dedicated to wilderness hammocks, so perhaps you should check that group out. They have far more experienced people with hanging than me.

Thanks. I now use a DSLR camera (Nikon D7000 with sigma 18-250 mm lens). While in the canoe I keep the camera mounted to a tripod over the first cross bar. A couple of velcro ties are stabilize the legs against the cross bar - although this method is not fool proof and you are always vulnerable during a tipping event. But then again, what is the point of having a nice camera if you are too afraid to use it when the photo opportunities are so grand and unique? Thanks for your comment.
