That spot at 10:39 wasn't always a bayou :) Glad to know y'all caught 'em there. Me and my girlfriend whacked 'em pretty good there last week, too.

Great video. Saturday before BETA dumped 12” of rain and put the creek into my favorite trout lake out it’s banks. We caught at least 150 trout all between 15 and 13 “ I told my fishing partnered if we were in Louisiana we would be having a big fish fry. Cold front blew in twice two days of 25 mph winds should have blown all that fresh water out going after those trout tomorrow. Thanks for the appetizer.

Lately I’ve been targeting tarpon and jack crevalle In Lake pontchartrain. Both of these species are saltwater but live in the lake. They’re really fun to fight. You should make a video about them some time.

Have you hooked any tarpon?

Justin Bowles I haven’t hooked tarpon in the lake but I’ve hooked Jacks before. However I do know people who’ve caught tarpon in the lake.

Fall fishing is my favorite. We went out on Monday and was killing the trout. Even the white trout had some good size to them.

I wonder how many people are scouring google maps to find that bayou LOL.
@MarshManMasson4 жыл бұрын
There are productive bayous like that ALL OVER South Louisiana. If one is good today, it doesn't at all mean it will be tomorrow

@@MarshManMasson exactly. We tried a few in the biloxi marsh sunday before we bailed on them and fished birds. Gotta adapt to whats actually happening and not fish "spots" to be more successful.

I recognize it. lol But I spend a lot of time planning and fishing. What Todd said is spot on. I've been to that spot since it's been a bayou in the 2000's and can tell you that it's yielded nothing more times than it's yielded fish, and that (like most bayous this time of year) it isn't worth fishing if the tide's not right.

I've never caught a speckled trout. Are you fishing over submerged grass or oyster beds?
@MarshManMasson4 жыл бұрын
Our SAV doesn't grow in very deep water here, so we're mostly fishing adjacent to grass beds but also over clam and oyster beds.
