This is the best video showing and explaining how a great fisherman observes what is going on around him figuring out the bite. Well done sir. Well done.

One of the main reasons I started a fishing channel a couple of months ago, was because I did not feel like there was a lot of educational fishing videos out there. I'm so glad I've discovered your channel, I'm only two videos deep, but this video has inspired me! Great video!

I enjoyed your speckled trout video, and appreciate the little learning tricks you shared with us, I fish for trout in South Florida and mainly use popping corks with much success. I will definitely try your technique. Thanks

Wonder what that would look at 57F water temp. Debating whether to go out on MS gulf coast at 45F air temp.

What reel and rod are you using
@JonMillerFishing6 жыл бұрын
W Harris, I wasn’t using my preferred rod and reel, which was rigged with a lighter jig, but once I got rolling I didn’t want to stop and retie. I was using a Diawa Coastal 200, 7.3 gear ratio, on a Falcon Coastal, MH, 7’. This is not a great rod for jigging. I have two combos which I prefer for jigging (and pretty much everything thing else). They are: 1) G Loomis 6’6” MH Fast, with Abu Garcia Revo SX, 7.1. 2) G Loomis 6’0”, MH Fast with 13 Fishing Concept C, 7.3. The 6’ rod combo is my favorite jigging setup.
