We went back to eden isles Saturday being my big motor is not running good and I can use trolling motor to still fish and lord we caught 100 white trout and they was all big never seen white trout average 16 inches and we caught some really big speckled trout mixed in with them it was nuts we keep only enough trout to eat for dinner 15

Good catch. Tried to get a quick trip in close to home on the Lakeshore with my daughter on Christmas eve. Forecast said no wind. That was a lie. We got beat up. Should have went into the marsh.

Can you show what GoPro Setup you use? I run an external battery to last several hours with the camera set on loop. I reset the loop after each fish to record blocks no longer than 20 minutes so I don’t end up with three hours of video to sort through. Mostly wondering how you power your go pros to last all day fishing.

Man, great fishing! I need to consider moving to Louisiana just for the fishing. Here in coastal NC we can only have 4 trout and must be 14 inches. For reds 1 a day 18 to 27 inches, and no flounder. This year for flounder we had a 2 day season. But, the are continuing to allow the shrimp trawls to run in the nursery waters and there are nets all over the place for the commercial fisherman. This is crazy and as one sided as it can possibly be. What it is is politics as usual, money deciding what is best for the resource, and to hell with the science. As long as the commercial guys are happy, all is well. I CAN'T STAND IT!!! I know Louisiana went through the same thing years ago. Maybe we will get some honest guys in the legislature one of these days before all the fish are gone. They keep blaming the over fishing on the recreational fisherman.

large trout, one after another bam bam bam just further proves my point there was no shortage of trout trout just move their free range to even further prove the point this is why hardly anybody ever charging a tag because fish are just like deer. They move around the more pressure they have always nice big fat quality true last year I think the ignorance of the Department of wildlife and fisheries is way out of date in the ways that they do things, especially when they have bodies of water that private land when it’s literally no land whatsoever. I believe these moratoriums are methodically put in place to increase their revenue, and I believe it’s corruption at its deepest foundation. maybe everybody should become commercial fisherman that way they’re allowed a certain percentage of undersized fish there’s the loophole around the law. If I get caught with one single fish, that’s under sized, I get a ticket a commercial fisherman, depending on the species can have 10 to 20% by catch without getting ticketed, when there’s that many fish being caught 10 or 20% can equal a lot of fish and these things are basically my arguments. it really is about common sense into me. That would mean if the fishing numbers were that low then you close it for an entire season that is what helps fish numbers come back not just a couple fish per trip but that’s just me I don’t have a liberal college education, I wasn’t indoctrinated to believe there to put it plainly hogwash.

Got tremendously blessed yesterday after another non-productive paddle-in duck hunt.What happened is we saw NADA and I called Slidell Academt to see if they had right sized spare tire and rim for my fine small boat trailer that my wife just gave me fine trailer jack to install and I have not yet gotten spare tire(never a good idea)!!After the hunt ran to Academy and found fine galvanized rim. and tire combo and when I got to my vehicle noticed left rear tire about flat to the fine rim(vehicle in vintage 1996 Lincoln Town Car)and made de executive decision to head to Sam's Club and get tire repaired.Turns out whatever punctured tire had exited tire AND I did NOT have Sam;s Club member card with me and got wife on phone with tire tech and we sorted it out,they charged me ZERO and I gave tire tech $20.Got home took short nap and grandson woke me to let me know starter for outboard had arrived,even though it was scheduled for delivery today!!Jumped on dat simple task and replaced one factory starter for another,why not use factory starter as original lasted biut 25 years!!Went to hut key,NADA and I pushed trim button on shift lever and had power,realized shift lever needed to be in Neitral-move it to Neutral and hit key and new starter spun dat 50 like a top and she roared!!!Gonna find time for more duck hunts.fish trips!!
