I got skunked today on lanier on the kayak. Your video makes me motivated to keep trying though. Such big water seems kinda difficult a kayaker like myself. It would be great to watch if we, the viewers, could see where you are looking / casting at. subscribed!

I would suggest that you fish in more of the creek arms and stay away from the big water. You will have much more success. Thanks for watching!

Not catching fish don’t make for a bad video, just catching fish don’t make for a good video, showing the process you go thru to search for the fish and lures used during that process is what makes for a good video, and you my friend are on the right track!

Thanks! I always show what happens on a day of fishing. I could cherry pick all of the good catches and edit out all of the bad stuff like everyone else on KZbin, but it wouldn't feel right to me. I know I would probably get more views that way, but I want to give a realistic account.

So close to 5k. Oh man that was kinda like many of my days….. misses, break offs …... Not every day can e stellar but you still got some. Weather has been a factor in me not getting out in the yak nearly as much as I’d like. We’ve been having some cool nights up here in the 40s which has been nice but just reminds me our season is winding down and soon the long hard spell of not being on the water will be here. 😢

The best fishing of the year is just getting ready to start down here. I made the mistake of not re-tying on my spinning rod and it cost me. My own fault.

I have found that when you keep missing them on that paddle tail switching to a crankbait gets them in the boat (treble hooks)

I actually tried the crank and couldn't get them to bite. It was just a weird day. It happens from time to time.

I went Tuesday to lanier and only caught 6...all on a shakeyhead. Slower than I expected for sure.

I don't play in bands anymore, but I used to. I graduated from The Guitar Institute of Technology years ago and dabbled in music for tv and film for awhile. I just write and play for the enjoyment of it these days.
