What size jig and hook do you use for a fluke
@FCPFishing
@FCPFishing Күн бұрын
It depends on what size fluke I'm using. I will use different sized flukes depending on the size of the bait I'm seeing. Lately, I've been using a 1/8 or a 1/4 oz jig. I make my own and I usually use a 4/0 Mustad Ultra Point hook until I get up to a 1/2 oz, then I will use a bigger hook.

Sixgill rods are garbage. I bought two rods & reels, and the grips started falling apart after the 1st use. "Customer Service" is a joke. Made up a story they were sold with the statement "Grips may prematurely flake or peal & will NOT be covered under warranty". Such a BS company. Stay away. I'll post pictures the next time I have a chance to trash this 2-cent outfit selling cheap Chinese crap at a premium price.

@@FCPFishing I didn't look at the date, sorry. I am just trying to warn anyone & everyone not to waste their money on Sixgill products. The grips started to fall apart after the 1st weekend's use. Their response was to put shrink wrap over them. Such BS.
@FCPFishing

@@stevekelly3138 I had customer service issues too. I bought one of their reels and I never got to use it because it would reel in line all on one side of the reel. @@FCPFishing We must've had the same CS guy. He said the ad stated they were having issues with the grips & they would not be covered under warranty. I would NOT have bought an unknown (to me) product that had that statement in the description. NO WAY. Lesson learned. Never buy sight unseen fishing equipment, especially from a newbie to the market. I wish I could post a photo of the grips after only a few hours of use.

@@stevekelly3138 I even broke one of their rods fighting a one pound bass, which they would not replace. He said I put too much stress on the rod. Ridiculous. I can't believe they are still in business, but they have their fan boys that get nasty if you give a bad review.
