I love the apron and lamp. Both of them were excellent buys. That is a good choice to turn the old trash can into a composter. You don’t have to wait until spring to start a compost. The black color will draw in heat even in winter. After drilling some holes, put a layer of leaves. It will be ready for any discards except meat scraps, grease or weeds with seed heads. You will have a head start on black gold for your garden.

Thank you for your suggestion on starting now and not later on the compost! That's a great idea. I just gotta get a drill next then I'll be on my way! The apron and lamp are such useful items. The apron actually matches my coffee table! I love the lamp, it's very tall; with the black lampshade, it looks great to me.

I do, too! Funny story, when I found the lamp, I was waiting for the 75% off but it disappeared. Then a week later it was back on the shelf and I grabbed it up quick! I love the pull string to turn it off and on.

it's finally feeling like fall. beautiful area for your walks - that river is high and wide. i say mr. turtle needs a paid vacation to the seashore. what do you think? he is there in all kinds of weather as door monitor. i find the salads with kale and spinach seem to go bad faster. i've been working on my budget, sigh. i find i need to put more aside as the power etc bills have gone up a lot. sadly, it is what it is. if my son and dil weren't here, things would be dire. on happier note, since it has cooled down a bit, less electricity for ac. take care, hope our day is a good one.

It's a hosta! It was a baby hosta that I found off to the side of the yard and transplanted to a pot. So far, so good!

Hi Sarah, loved this video. So I’m a bit odd and I’m sure most will tell me I’m ridiculous lol, but, would you be willing to catch the spiders with a plastic cup, or paper and put them outside? I know most think spiders are scary and bad, but they do a lot of good too. Of course if it’s a poisonous spider, best to do what you have to. I’m just a silly animal and creature lover lol….
