You reach for one at a time. -The first item you grabbed was a ripped page of a cook book, it displayed a pie with the words “Butterscotch and cinnamon” at the top. -Attached to the cook book page with a paper clip were an array of index cards, they all had similar skeleton jokes written in a small messy manner. -Sitting under those two items was a long red scarf, it’s many holes allowed you to see through to the wooden bottom of the box. The scarf’s ends were burnt with a black crust. -Tucked away the corner of the breaking box was a small paper packet. You looked inside the packet to find many small seeds, you turned around the package and it read “Daisy’s” -While rummaging through the box the small broken head of an old spear fell down and hit your hand. As you picked it up it felt slightly sticky, you turned it around and saw a small blotch of glue still wet. The spear head started to crumble in your hand so you put it down and went for the next items -After placing down the spear head your hand wandered to a pair of cracked glasses. You picked them up and traced your hand along the rim, your finger now covered in dust you put the glasses on your head and continued with a slight smile. -As you picked up the slightly heavy microphone, you had the urge to sing into it. But there was no point, it was already broken beyond repair. -While looking through the other items a small glimmer caught your eye. When you found the object it was a large cracked crown. Vines of delicate yellow flowers enveloped it’s once beautiful shining surface. -Wrapped in one of the vines you see a small golden chain. Take it out? -*Yes* -No -You took out the chain from the vines and gently placed the crown on the floor. The chain was intertwined with another chain exactly alike it. At the end of each chain were golden heart lockets. -As you opened one of the lockets up all your memories came flooding back to you. -Before your mind could process what was going on you felt as your eyes became watery and your vision was blurred. The tears came streaming down your face as you stood up, putting on the necklaces. -You wrapped the scarf around your neck and placed the crown upon your head as you looked out the window to the mountain beside your house. -You could only spit out a few words but when you did, they made you cry even more -*”I’m...I’m coming home mom...”* OML I hope you all enjoyed this it took a whole day to write and I love it-

i remember playing this game for the first time; I felt so safe with toriel, i genuinely laughed at sans at papyrus' jokes, i was scared of undyne at first but laughed at her jokes when i got to know her, i felt sorry for alphys, i was amazed by metaton. by the end of the game i felt like i really got to know the characters and going into azgore's castle to fight him i felt like i was ready. i really felt like ive grown so much throughout the game. i felt like i was frisk. and when i got to the end of the true ending, i found myself crying. i remember not knowing if i was sad or happy, but i was crying. say what you want about undertale, call sans a meme, whatever. its one of the best games ever made. i wish i could experience playing it for the first time again. can i confess something thank u for seeing this message i had a story that i miss him so much. his a friend in a gd we meet and start a chat we talk how are you?, since when you play this game?, and others . we start a chit chat like for a month. and after that we still talking until a one special question....are we best friend?... my heart was like turn golden and i was replying " OF COURSE WE BEST FRIEND FOR EVER!!!!!" and we become friend not just a friend we ''BEST FRIEND'' ..and i was kinda a little addict to gd so my dad grounded me for not playing game for a month. and when i come back to chit chat with me. he was miss me .and the he talk ''I MISS YOU SOO MUCH BROOOOO" and i was like ''wow i never had a friend miss me so much before'' and he was make a level just to dedicated to made just for me to me. he was a.... nice guy..funny guy..also hilarious and we still having a chat tells a joke and so much more.. until.. a few months later he was.... left...gone....for no reason.... i search a deep research a no result i was.. sad.... and after that i stopped playing gd.... and im playing others game like call of duty, fortnite,rhythm doctor,undertale,deltarune and others... and i was kinda bored so i looked youtube i was scrolling and i looked at this video and i was like '' ehh why not?'' i was listening this for 1 hour and while im listening to this music i was remember to my friend in gd.. i was crying.. and then i was smiling while im remember how funny he was . how hilarious he was...... i was happy when im listening to this music.... It felt like the friends you've made in the game were people you personally knew, and you know better than anyone that the moment you first witnessed that ending... you didn't want them to be over, yet you cried. You cried, and cried, all because you were so happy for them. You cried, because you know the happiness you're feeling is temporary. Years later, you feel them all again. You proceed to smile, tears dripping off your chin. I have read multiple of the comments. People talking about this bring them to tears, the nostalgia, and how this game changes their life. I am no different. This game, the characters, the music, and the story, all in one little game, made with not that much money, in only two years, and by the mastermind, Toby Fox. This game has brought sadness, happiness, guilt, anger, and most of all determination. Despite if you have killed, spared or both, you can’t not admit that you loved these characters, as they felt more like real people than just pixels in a game. Words can’t express how I’ve felt when I learned about this game. At only the age of 10, I had found this game. I couldn’t play it, cause I figured my parents would say no, but luckily, KZbin existed. I watched letsplays, comic dubs, and animation memes for about 3 whole years without stopping. I felt connected with each of these characters. Then I finally was able to buy the game. I played it every day for as long as I could before I got kicked off the computer. I knew everything about the game. All the routes, endings, and secrets, yet I still played. I wanted to get to know the characters on my own. A lone flower, with only the sadness of missing his best friend, projected by anger. A goat mom, who can only care for you the best she can. Who misses everyone who came before you. A punny skeleton, who never fails to come up with bad funny jokes, even though you could tell there was more to him. A cooler skeleton who never failed to make you laugh, and just feel better about yourself, because he knows that you are awesome. A nerdy dinosaur, who taught us not to be scared about who we love, and to just go for it no matter what. A strong fish lady, who taught us to stay strong no matter what, and care about the people around you, and just do what you love no matter what others think. A lone king, doing what he hoped would make others happy, even at the expense of the ones he cares about. Engulfed in sadness only put out by love. Someone, who was more than a flower. Someone who taught us that friends and family are important, and that no matter what, just keep believing. And someone else, who some of us blamed, a person who just wants to care and be cared about. I felt love. I felt pity. I felt guilt. I felt rage. I felt happiness. I felt sad. I felt determined. It’s just a game. I know. So why do I feel like this? Why do *we* feel like this? Despite that fact that most of us did commit genocide, the game told us, yelled at us, that we were in the wrong the entire way. It wants us to be good. *They* want us to be good. They want us to be happy. Pixels on a screen, code in a computer, whatever. They are more to us. They are our friends, our family. We care about them, and they care about us. So remember to stay determined. Remember that even if you don’t believe it, there’s someone out there who really cares about you.

Eh, as a fan of both I don’t see it that way. Ranboo actually played Undertale on stream! I watched the whole play through and saw people who had previously hated undertale because of the fandom gaining some understanding of the game and why it’s actually good, and even bringing in new people. I see it as a new beginning, Falling Down was the beginning of the journey and now it’s the beginning of some new faces in the undertale community.

I remember being 7 years old, and getting so excited when I first got UNDERTALE, I had seen people play the game and I wanted to play it so bad. I listened to the soundtrack and everything, so then I played through the game, and it was a complete joy. I was so mesmerized, and I almost cried during the scene telling Asriel's story. I still have every line of dialogue memorized. My birthday party's were themed around it, I even made some cringe AUs, and as embarrassed as I am of the dumb things I made as a kid, I still feel happy that I made it. This game is one of the most important parts of my life, and I will never forget it. It was a perfect time in my life. Undertale just turned 9. It makes me really emotional, i grew up with this game, it's a huge chunk of my childhood. So it feels weird to have reminders like this that time passed, and we're never going back, just slowly forgetting who we were and what our life was like. I guess it makes me a bit sad

March 24th, 2021. You get home from a long day of school. You're a freshman in high school wishing you were already dead from the pure sheer dread of every week. Seven assignments every day. Stacking everyday as you try to keep up. You just can't keep up with your school work. On top of that, those dang popular Honors' jocks and student council preps get at you for being you. You can't look at yourself the same way you used to. You wanted to ask that one lady out. But you end up seeing her with her boyfriend and you forget about it. Being sad, you walk slowly to your room and wishing you weren't here at this point. You set your stuff down and throw yourself on your bed with a feeling of being a weird object, a thing that anybody likes to use as a punching bag, a thing that nobody has any remorse for, a thing anybody just doesn't even care about. You decide to hop on Discord for a little while, but nobody isn't even on. You check your Snap... Nothing is there nor new and it doesn't look like anybody wants to talk. You go to KZbin to see what's up. Watch a video about the ongoing ruckus? Nah. Watch a video of nerdy-stuff about old copy protection on an old video game console? Not in the mood currently. Watch a click-bait thumbnailed video with a meme that sucks or has no comedic purpose about a very popular video game that should've died a month ago? Nope. Watch a video of... ? A video with no name? That's odd... The channel doesn't even have a name either. Your curiosity rolls in so fast, you decide to watch the video with no name... ... A familiar song begins to play... You immediately have a flashback to that one day. A specific day that had a lot of meaning to you. As the day began to roll as a very vivid image in your head, it begins to feel eerily surreal. The weather was hot. The atmosphere was a pleasant orange to the sky that surrounded you. You hear the splashing of water and somebody playing a fighting game you used to like and play as an elementary school boy. It all begins to be very clear of what that moving image is your head was making. The summer of 16'. A time when you had nothing to worry about. No virus. No extreme chaos. Everyone was having a great time around you. And you were at your friend's house on his birthday. What a day that was... Nothing of a day full of water guns... Nerf wars... Super Smash Bros. for the Wii U... And going to the arcade that day... Just to win that one big prize on the wall but you'd end up getting 5 Toostie-Rolls as a big "Hey, try harder, kid." type of insult for wasting your money on dozens of tokens. Then, you and your buddies would just go back to your friend's house to munch on pizza and cake, and huddle together for a little mini Smash tournament and then see who can't laugh first at one of those silly Vine compilations. Ah, man... Those were the days. You and the boys... A day and night to remember as a staple of your childhood filled with true joy. And luckily you still have those types of nights. But now, in a room by yourself, with a controller in your hand, headset on your head, and a party chat on your Xbox just to mess around in Minecraft, play a game everyone hates but loves at the same time, and talk about what you and your boys were going to do tomorrow, what problems you may or what your boys have, and those cute girls you'd see in your classes from time to time. But then, out of nowhere, you slowly begin to realize, will this be your last time you will ever have these types of nights with your boys? The question amplifies as you think about it more and more. Just thinking about brings a tear to the eye of you. Looking into the future, after you graduate high school... No more Xbox nights with the boys... No more seeing each other and having a good time... You each own go your separate ways of life after you do your four years. Your final goodbyes... Your last time of seeing each other's faces... Adieu to all your fellow friends who were probably your brothers in arms. They leave. And your friends are gone in a snap. And now there's you. A dude who might as well be a lone person who had a pretty nice life in high school. Wait... Why are you even thinking about the future anyways? You have better stuff to do. Get up off your butt and go talk with you boys while you're at it. They are pretty much going through the same as you so. Why not go jump in and have a great time like it is your last? ... Woah, hey. Another thing. Don't forget your kind personality and what not, stupid. Okay, I'm sorry for being mean. Now go hang with the boys now, king. You deserve it after the hard stuff you've been through today and since the start. Stay safe and keep yourself on your feet.

This song gives me a lot of comfort, it reminds me of my innocence as a child, playing around with my grandma in the living room, and this song in it’s context is about someone just trying to help you, and that brings back a lot of memories of me and my grandma from what seems to be so long ago

I remember when I was about 7-8 I was obsessed with Undertale. I dressed up as Sans for Halloween, and my little sister wanted to be the human. I played it every night, and I eventually beat it. I also went on my computer to see if anyone made any new Megalovania AU things at least every morning. It was rough getting through some tough times, but the characters are actually really relatable. I always remember having my Undertale plushies and my sans hoodie whenever I went to a sleepover. The kids at school called me “Undertale Kid”. I was actually okay with it. I love Undertale and it makes me want to cry that nobody plays it anymore. Thank you Toby Fox for being the best game developer.

this game saved my life. i mean that. there were days when i was 13 years old, frail and bony and sickly, lying on the floor of my bedroom and not seeing any reason why i should go on. i remember sitting out in a hammock in my front yard with my cat and just thinking about this game and its wonderful characters made me feel... happy. they were my family. they were my friends. there were times where i felt nothing in the real world mattered, and i would have given anything and everything to be with these characters. i drew them everyday. i mean EVERY day, i literally have 10+ sketchbooks full of doodles and silly drawings of these guys. i even went by frisk when i was struggling with my identity and didn’t know who i really was or who i wanted to be. thank you. thank you so, so much. i’m alive. stay determined.

It's been years. 6 years, to be exact. The underground is empty. Now may be a good time to visit it again, just for nostalgia. It's very quiet, the previous inhabitants no longer using the old shops or homes. Dust has gathered from time, or perhaps a more malicious outcome, but you make no comment. You're not here to dwell on choices, made or unmade, after all. You're just here to remember. You sit by a nearby stream, dipping your feet in the water, humming some tunes from a long time ago. Some of them make your face burst into a grin, others make your eyes water with unshed tears. Finally, you stand up, and follow the light purple path. It's still here, the quaint little house. It used to fill you with so much determination, but now.... You're not sure what to make of how you feel. There's definitely some happiness in there, but, your heart aches none the less. You step inside the house, and are more than a bit surprised to hear a faint song emanating from somewhere in the old home. Nobody had been here in ages, so where was it coming from, you wondered. You walk towards the room the music seems to be coming from, and are brought to stand in front of the room you had slept a night in when you first fell into this strange place. You inch open the door, and see, in the middle of the room, a small tin music box. It plays a familiar tune, one that you've hummed yourself to sleep with night after night, one that you've remembered someone to. One that you've remembered Toriel to. The song is a bit off tune in some parts, and it sounds like the music box has either been used too little or too much. You're not sure how it got here, or how long it's been playing, but just hearing the song makes you start to tear up. Toriel, she used to hum it while she baked. She'd hum the sweet song when she was doing a lot of things, really; She'd hum it while sweeping, while watering the plants around the ruins, while tucking you into bed. And then you'd left the ruins, and you'd met Papyrus, and Sans, and Undyne, and Alphys, and Mettaton, and Asgore, and just thinking about them makes your previously unshed tears slide down your cheeks. You hadn't really seen any of them in a while. You still cared about them, of course, but you all had different things to do, and you hadn't gotten the chance to talk to them. It'd been 2 years since you last saw Toriel. It had felt like a short time while it was happening, but now, looking back, it seemed almost like a tunnel of time that traveled on for miles. You couldn't even see the end. You're not as determined as you used to be. Every time you glanced at the landmarks from your journey, it just filled you with a sadness, a longing for how things used to be. You want the simple times back. You want to meet a bunch of monster friends in a mountain, you want to free a wrongly imprisoned species, you want to go back to when you knew what was right and wrong. It's time to go home, now, though, and you get up from your spot on the floor. You're about to leave, when the music box creaks to a halt. Your tears spill over the edge again, and you turn around, cradling the small fragile music box in your arms, rewinding it, hoping it'll play the song once again. The first notes play once again. You let out a sigh of relief. Maybe it's time to leave, but you're going to bring this small piece of happiness with you. You may not be as determined, anymore, but your friends would be proud to see you trying, so you let a small and nostalgic smile slip onto your face, and you walk home, the sounds of Fallen Down filling your ears on the trip back.

I didn't play the game myself, i watched a series of it and found a lot of interest. Even though i spoiled the game when i tried it for myself it gave me a feeling that i will never be able to feel again. Truly amazing how a game can worm your heart no matter how much you play it.
