I love these old movies. Days when people had class,, Women wore dresses, the men wore suits with ties or a sport jacket. The movie stars actually had class in real life.

You could always tell late 50's early 60's crime dramas by the jazzy score.

The musical score was the best part. Then the hamburgers, then the chicks. But it's not on TV at 3AM and I don't have insomnia so it felt weird watching in the daytime. I enjoyed it 👍

I totally agree with you about Fall Guy's musical score. Jamie Mendoza-Nava (December 1st, 1925 - May 31st, 2005) had 90 credits, and this film was only his 2nd. I have to wonder if he's not too well-remembered nowadays, But if not, he definitely deserves to be! He was top-notch in his profession. Right up there with, for example, Jerry Goldsmith, whose debut film was City of Fear (1959)

Beautiful short, lyric trumpet solo around 39:20. Doc? It's brought back just a minute before the movie ends. So well played, very simple with perfect vibrato and medium level intensity. And the movie is quite good!

This was a low budget independent production with no readily recognizable actors. But the acting was good, believable and with plenty of broads and action. A nice little cat fight was a surprise but not really relevant to the story. A good jazz soundtrack accompanies the film which adds to the pace. The Fallguy, played by Ed Dugan, had a nice car that looked like about a 1960 Triumph TR3, nice ride for a young man back then. Did anybody notice the newsboy? He looked like Tony Dow, from Leave It To Beaver, but did not see his name in the credits. This is a movie film noir fans will not want to miss.

Well, according to the mores of the time, it might have actually been kind of indecent as far as the story line and the characters portrayed, but and B-movies go, its threadbare feel adds to its overall success...and the music is a real key part of that.

@@malkaringel7864 I'm not sure if it's improved with age...but another overlooked gritty and sparse noir (and also may be VInce Edwards' very first movie role) titled Murder By Contract. It includes Herschel Bernardi (no, he doesn't sing). It went a long time before being listed in most film reference books, and is quite the moody movie.

A few other scenes show that the camera was moving on a dolly and rotating in a different one at the same time, which creates a sophisticated look when watching...easy to overlook because it seems quite logical, but technically it must be somewhat complex.
