Even though I’m 65, I thoroughly enjoy your channel and positive approach to life, homemaking, child rearing etc. I remember those overwhelming times trying to do it all, working part time shift work, cooking real food, kids homework and activities plus aging parents. Some days I feel guilty about not doing a better job but you do your best at the time. My three sons are now grown and hopefully understand I did my best❤️Keep up the good work, you are doing just fine! You and Lynette Yoder are AWESOME.

I love that you encourage rest. The world tells us to go, go, go. My view changed when I read something that said that rest is Godly. God rested. Rest is essential for our bodies, minds, and spirit to be rejuvenated and ready to go again. It’s so, so hard and definitely a work in progress.

Megan, I love your channel. When I do any kind of squash/pumpkins in the oven, I leave it completely whole, I don't cut out the seeds at all, but I do pierce it with a knife. Just put it on a cookie sheet, don't peel it. Bake with no water on the cookie sheet for 1 to 1 1/2 hours, let cool, cut in half and take out the seeds. Then scoop out the flesh from the peel. So easy and so fast. I usually do several at a time and then after scooping, add butter and then freeze. You can also add some milk when doing the dryer squash like butter cup or hubbard if you need to. It is nice to have it setting on top of the stove waiting for me to get a few minutes time to take care of it.

I love watching your videos! You make me feel less weird (not sure that's the right word, but we'll go with it) in a lot of ways. I've struggled for years to find my "tribe". I love being a stay at home mom/homemaker, cooking/baking from scratch, painting, sewing, crafting, food preservation, etc...... I told my husband that I would probably feel right at home in the Mennonite community cause it just seems like my natural bend. Unfortunately, we live in Florida and I don't think that's a thing here.

10X speaks to 😢the fineness of the grind when processing the sugar for sale. There are coarse grind sugars all the way up to superfine sugars. (News you can’t use…lol) I grew up in York County (I’m 65) and would make trips to Lancaster County monthly for the food and quilt/fabric shops. I moved to Wyoming 23 years ago and I still miss the food, quilt shops and the seasons. Shady Maple, Good’s Store, Fisher’s Fabric shop, Zook’s in Intercourse, Achenbach’s Bakery (their custard filled donuts…heaven!). I love your channel, Megan, as I always get the warm fuzzies as you share the sights and things that remind me of my old home. Keep on doing what you’re doing, you are a blessing to us all! ❤️❤️❤️
