When she refers to her 20s she is using Korean age. She actually turned 30 last month. She debuted when she was 15. She took a year off from albums last year but did an incredible concert in Seoul where she sold out the largest stadium 2 days in a row. There are a couple of performances from it on her channel - "my sea" and the opening song, "eight"

Great reaction and IU is great in her "Hotel del Luna". This is a very deep and emotion filled show. Her song "eight" is also very deep as it is a memorial to the friends that have recently pass. This is an emotional song for her. Good to check out the background to her songs before hearing as it paints a story. This why she is so popular. She is one of the riches performers in Korea, where she passes off her raises and bonuses to the team and performers. Notice in her 1theK clips that she has her own band that goes with her to all performances. The drummer is the lead and the pianist was gifted with a very expensive Bosendorfer grand piano. IU really supports her entire production team. If you note some of clips of her life, you will understand that she never forgets and shows respect to all. Thats why she is noted as Korea's Princess...

Hold My Hand (the encore) was the first song she wrote.. 10 years later in February 2021 it was in the top 10 of the Korean charts on all their streaming services. That and Through the Night seem to be her two songs that have the biggest staying power in Korea, they are almost always in the Top 100 on streaming services since release. But her discography is amazing, she has over 20 number ones (up to 30 depending on the streaming service) and if you ever visit Seoul you'd find it difficult to go an hour without seeing her face or hearing her music. I strongly recommend the live clip (2019) of Hold My Hand on her official channel, as well as Eight and My Sea from the 2022 concert (also on her channel). I think all four of the songs here represent her voice in the best way. Also as an outlier, check out Jam Jam, my favourite and very different. The other amazing clip of IU everyone should watch is "Kid Tries to Not Recognize Her Favorite K-pop Star (Feat. IU)" on the channel odg. I also recommend in your free time you watch My Mister (Netflix UK) - it's IU's best acting performance where she plays an initially unlikeable girl living in poverty. It's a dark show but widely acknowledged as a masterpiece.

Hey dude! Guessing this is the second part of a comment? KZbin keeps automatically deleting alot of comments which is really frurstrating, so sorry about that. I don't know what it is but it tends to be when there are a lot of links, timestamps etc. Sadly it's nothing im in control of because youtube automatically deletes comments they think are 'spam' which is so dumb. Only thing I could recommend if you have a lot of links or something like that, is to copy the message before you send it just in case it automatically deletes?
