falling in love with a messy life - a note from the wilderness
In this video I wanted to talk about ‘messiness’ and ‘imperfection’ in regards to our lives, and how we may sometimes feel things have fallen apart or that we are just not where we thought we would be. Perhaps the past is dragging us down, or the future is frightening. Through recovering from an era of addiction and disordered eating, I had to begin a journey of healing my relationship with anxiety - and consequently, with myself. I’m still figuring things out and am not an expert whatsoever, so I wanted to share some of my thoughts and what has helped me move forward, in hopes we can open a dialogue and support eachother. To me, embracing the simplicity of the days and deciding that I have enough to grow and thrive, has helped me (wise examples from nature have certainly inspired me along the way).

Let me know if there are any topics you’d like me to cover next month! ❤ I am planning a little property tour/update, home updates, one more bookish video, as well as highlighting some local artists in my area. I hope you enjoy this, I will see you again very soon 😊 *I completely invented the recipe in this video and don't yet have an official one to share, sadly. However, I just made a standard vanilla cake mix but infused the liquids with dandelion petals (I left the petal in as well, though that depends on your preference). I put honey as an icing and layered with a simply blueberry syrup and whipped cream! Hope to have an official recipe soon.

Watching this, and many of your videos, I am reminded of my younger self, who struggled to maintain an even keel, but was constantly cast to and fro by my feelings. I just couldn't regulate them, even though later in life I had developed pretty sophisticated coping mechanisms. Still, I would be caught out as a victim of my emotions too frequently, which always threw me into days of regret and depression. Little did I know that depression was the cause of my inability to regulate. I finally visited my doctor, at the suggestion of my best friend. Without disclosing too much, that was the best course of action I could have taken. It's been 6.5 years since then, and life is so much better now. Sometimes a doctor's visit can make all the difference!

Hello Paola! ❤ I'm watching you after a long long while. It's nearly two years, I have been experiencing some most difficult periods in my life. Everything has been messed up. This not the first time I'm in trouble and stress. In fact, several times I have suffered a lot terribly because of my emotional attachment and wrong life decisions. Being a single woman, I choose to live independently. I performed all my duties to my parents, my full family. And that was my only one satisfaction in my entire life. I learned to be satisfied with whatever I have. I lost my closest ones in some horrific incidents. I never gave up, each time I have fallen on hard times I faced it, and tried to stand on my feet and live with a positive attitude. But this time it seems there is no way out, few things are not in control. All of a sudden job market becomes volatile in the last few years. I turned out my fifty, and I become jobless, no savings, no possessions. I lost my energy keeping up lots efforts. Material things was never been important for myself before. Now I realised I shouldn’t be so unrealistic. It is so shameful to accept when I have to depend on others for my living. Meanwhile, I learned to live with less- which is one positive thing. I totally messed up. Nevertheless, I'm still trying, if there's any light at the end of the tunnel! Love for you always ❤

Before we are born, our souls set challenges for us to overcome, very much like an athlete or an explorer sets up a challenging course to overcome. This is why our beginnings are not easy. What your mom did with the cutouts of old reader's digest is actually creating her future. It's an amazing creative technique. Our lives are journeys with ups and downs, learning experiences, adventures. When we accept this, it is easier. When we fight it, it is always a struggle.

Ugh I can definitely relate to this! I sold my house in the UK last year and bought a dream stone cottage in Denmark in the forest with studio, library, lake view, roses etc. The house is amazing. However, that was not enough and only a year after buying it we have put it for sale and are going back to the UK. We miss our lives there and our friends. We could never afford such an amazing house in the UK so whatever comes next is not going to be as nice as this house... but at least we will be with what is familiar and comforting. Sometimes obtaining the dream is not what is meant to be. So many people who see my house say they would be so happy here... I feel so guilty that I was not able to be happy here...

Home is where your heart is. It doesn't matter the beauty of the house or place. I miss my old grandmother's house so much, where I grow up, and it was a humble old house. When I think of warm memories and comfort I think of that old messy house.

I love your videos so much. As I watch you cutting flowers and wild bushes I tell myself I'd like to do that and look as serene as you do but then I remember I live in Alabama and it's 100 degrees out there with 100% humidity.. I can just see a meme for that, haha! More humid than humid! imagine what your beautiful curls would do♡😅😅😅 (smile). Blessings, bnb

Thank you for this video/sharing ~ I just returned home from the dentist & that’s hard for me even when everyone there is kind, so watching your walk about & connection with the natural world/other than human world soothes me to feel completely safe again at home 🌀

It is joyful to listen to you and see how real you are. You deal with your life experiences so openly and show young people especially that there is a bright side to life no matter what. People many times just bury their past because somehow they were taught to do so. They had little time to dwell - no wonder there is so much depression, etc among people. Lots of it stems from youth and unresolved issues. You make people aware of your struggles and show how you overcame or found a way to deal with life. I can't emphasize enough that people walk with nature and experience the beauty all round. Blessings galore.

Your videos are very inspirational and beautiful to see. However sometimes I close my eyes and just listen to the sound of your voice and all the nature sounds. This helps me focus deeply on the message and I find it therapeutic. It calms my mind and soul and helps me see things differently. For this I thank you 🙏. I wish you blessings.
