Ronnie, your lyrics are scaring me, my dude. The world needs you. Your daughter needs you. You've saved more lives with your music over the past 15+ years than you know. Those people still need you. Let that be a light in your darkest times. Keep finding the strength to fight your demons. You're not yet all you could be. Tough times don't last, but tough people do. Your music has filled the past 10 years of my life with the motivation to finish that last rep in a workout, to become the best version of me possible for my family and, to strive towards fulfilling my potential. I look forward to the next 10 years of my life with more of your artwork filling my playlists. Will look forward to meeting you one day and shaking your hand with a smile.

Radke has a great voice, as always, but I also love how he builds it up from the beginning of the video with each "self/voice" that dies, has that brief quiet-before-the-storm moment, and then lets it explode at 2:13. That staccato "we're all gonna die" punctuated by gunfire at 2:30 was beautifully done. Lyrically, it's uncomfortably relatable, but I still love it. Every day is a battle in your own mind and no matter how many of those voices you kill off there are always more waiting to drag you down and tear you apart.

I think this song is as much about Ronnie continuing to reinvent himself and stay relevant and successful despite multiple attempts from the media and everyone else telling him that he's done as much as it is about him growing and not being the person he was in the past. He's literally killing off the past versions of himself and moving past pieces of his life that were less glamorous and very difficult. Maybe that's why he's blacked out all his tattoos recently? He no longer needs the reminder of who he once was when he's trying to grow into something better. He's literally and physically a blank slate. Wow, this song speaks volumes to me! As someone who suffers from PTSD and severe anxiety, this song is something I can identify with... When I am having a panic attack, all of a sudden this horrible feeling of doom washes over me and my subconscious starts talking me in going to die or that something horrible is going to happen then I have everyone telling me "you are fine, it's ok" when I know and that person knows that I am far from ok... This song makes me feel validated and reminds me I'm not alone... I am working on trying to put my old self, the one who went through and experienced all of the trauma, to rest and start living again, but it's really hard, it's definitely a long journey!

@amandahawkins87 we can never put our old self to rest permanently or we lose all that we've survived. We are walking scars that take it a day at a time. The trauma we've gone through we can use to help someone else survive. I'm not sure the PTSD will ever go away but it becomes manageable if we know our triggers. The anxiety and panic attacks...I'm still trying to get through those without losing my mind. I wish you love and light on this journey, sister. You are not alone❤

@@prol1shed995 I hate to break it to you, but "gay emo scene kids music" is a subgenre of rock/metal, depending on which bands you look at, because some are heavier than others. I know you're probably disappointed and/or shocked, but it's the truth. Whatever rock bands you listen to that are "true rock" are probably some of the bands that inspired this genre of music. So yes, "gay emo scene kids music" is rock. Doesn't have to be Led Zeppelin, AC/DC or any other of those bands to be rock. These bands just took what they heard and did something different with it, with the instruments, etc. That's like saying some musicians aren't pop artists just because they aren't Taylor Swift.

These lyrics hit hard. As a vet with deep PTSD issues both from service and outside life, the way the story is portrayed in this song is a perfect representation of what goes through my head at times. PTSD and the other issues in my head are always at war with the way I should see things. My favorite lyrics are "The voices in my head keep on telling me I'm cursed. I'm paranoid. I dont wanna make it any worse. We're all gonna die, but first things first, I'm gonna take the world with me when they put me in the dirt." It perfectly resonates with me.

Hey mate. I was looking through the comments, searching for someone, whom (? im not native to english) feels also like the lyrics and the video portraits. I just wanted to say; stay strong. You are strong. I know what it´s like, to have voices/ the feeling of voices whispering ect. due to my PTSD and ye, lets say other issues... "The voices in my head Keep on begging me to stay If I pull the trigger now Then the demons go away" is the part, which mostly represents my "episodes" of all of what happens in my head. And as i heard this song here. I was so scared but also so relieved... that someone rly knows, what it feels like.
