As a vinyl collector, I don’t mind already knowing almost all the songs on the album. I like having zero skips, and I feel like that increases my likelihood of buying the album. Also, thank you for reviewing! I’m definitely loving the album!

As a record "collector" i wont buy entire albums if i only listen to a couple tracks as it's not worth the money (records are anywhere between $50-100AUD in Australia which is insane). So knowing tracks before an album release is handy for me to help determine if I'll pre-order the LP. Once i learned that some of my favorite singles from the past 4 years were all going to be on this Album, I pre-ordered the moment i could. My Popular Monster "Candlyland" vinyl arrived earlier today and it's absolutely beautiful.

Agreed, no problem whatsoever knowing the tracks beforehand because I knew I was going to love the vinyl. I kinda wish he had piled in the trio of Losing my Life, Losing my Mind and Drugs along with the 2 reimagined songs on there also, feels inevitable a deluxe will version of some sort will head our way 🤞

if i remember correctly I swear that Ronnie said that he wouldn't be releasing anymore albums again around the time popular monster was first released so maybe that's why its taken so long, as it wasn't originally planned to be part of an album. That is accurate. He recently stated that Epitaph pushed for an album after the fact because the singles were so great and did so well they knew having them in a collection would be bomb. He said doing it this way may seem weird in the here and now but years down the road it'll just stand on its own as a great album and nobody will care how and when the songs had been released.

I think Ronnie appreciates reactors and their reactions to his songs and videos so much he really puts out a lot of his songs with the epic videos first then the CD is more of an afterthought. So many people watch reactors to see their first time reaction to their fave bands songs for the first time. If he put the CD out then put out videos most reactors would've already heard the songs. That just my opinion.

Supposed to be an EP released a few years ago. Understandable to hold up and write a few more songs while the world had stopped. I've read he'd rather focus on single songs than getting a whole album out, marketing factors into that as well. I see a general theme of the suit/laser eye/destruction running in 4 videos but that's not the way they appear on the album. Fun video, 'Expose the Snakes' line is followed by a rattlesnake rattle in the mix and loved the Escaped My Fate line. Thanks fellas.

Single or album, it doesn’t take away from the quality and depth of the music. I think their last Coming Home album was not a financial success (although it is an amazing album) so the singles releasing over the years makes sense. Every song in this album is elite top tier platinum status imo! 🤘🔥

Great reaction. Liked. Keep in mind, Popular Monster, the song/video, came out in 2019. Zombified & Voices In My Head in 2022. WTWB, Last Resort 2023. the rest in 2024. The whole album is basically a concept of Ronnie's perception of his life and events in his life/around him. Visually he made a movie in 8 video parts. No one is doing this on this level. Not all of it anyways. So talented & raw. FIR will be looked at as pioneers in years to come. Everyone with this type of vision & fame gets persecuted in their time. Anyways, loved the reaction fellas. Just subbed.

Prequal is the beginning of the story. Everything from Popular Monster on is after it. Ronnie decided to change things up after their last album bombed (his words). So he looked at successful artists and found they were releasing singles instead of an album. So he started focusing on doing one great song at a time. Now, after all these years and getting such a good reception, he put the full story together and in order on the album. The entire album beginning to the end is the full story of all the experiences he's been giving us over the last many years. He's quite brilliant. He did what they needed to help them be successful. Then, when it was time, he put the story together.

I think having 25% of the album come out ahead of time is a good sweet spot. I’m still into having a lot of surprises and don’t want the album to be spoiled for me with a bunch of songs that come out several months (or years nowadays). I do, however, feel like FIR is a bit of an exception because SO much time and money go into the music videos. Plus, all the songs on the album that weren’t released as singles are 🔥

Ronnie is in my opinion , a fing marketing genius ! Instead off releasing this album some years ago , he released most as singles , with awesome videos ( as per usual ) , to get them more hyped . I dont believe all songs would have been getting that much attention , ( and def not the attention they all deserved ) if he had released all at once ! So consider this , a greatest hits album , with multiple bangers , and number 1 hits , in a time frame off 4 years ,.Thats pretty awesome . And to be honest how many bands have ever had , a video out to almost every track ,on an album ?

I switched the album off. I just couldn't be bothered with it. I see lots and lots of hype about it and as much as the new songs are decent, I just don't get the hype at all. Maybe I'll try give it a listen again at a future date but right now I'm at the point where I've heard all those singles so much that I automatically skip them when they come on. I might be in the minority here, but it's just how I feel about it. I'm glad plenty of people seem to be enjoying it though. Whatever makes you happy is literally the only thing that matters :)

I'm a give me two great singles guy and then have an amazing album behind it. Easy on paper, hard to do. You're relying on that the choice of singles isnt at its peak. A modern band that still does this really well has been Resolve. But all of the songs on their albums are just genuinely good and well written. I think the other problem is the release cycle. Bands are releasing singles WAY too early. I understand why. The actual industry side of music is trash and humans these days cant pay attention to anything for more than 3 minutes. So, they have to. There are certainly other factors though...what kind of music is this? is the album meant to be played front to back? Are there certain songs on the album that really just need to be released together with corresponding interludes(IE Nothing More)? The inherent problem is that there is no 1 way to do things.
