They’re linked because it was their biggest hit and Ronnie wanted to do something for his fans on the 10 year anniversary of the original

That and he wrote this in prison about his struggle within himself
@zarinshapurjee94302 жыл бұрын
Uh that's a small part of it the main reason is he didn't like the original and so he redid it

As well as the 10 year anniversary and thank you to fans, Ronnie has also mentioned how bad his voice was when the original came out. He was in prison for 2 and a half years and was unable to exercise his voice. Said he never sang in prison. So he had lost some of his vocal capabilities when he did the original. He said he wanted to showcase his voice and give the deep lyrics the vocal talent it deserves. It worked, I see you also checked out revamped....

I loved the original when it first came out... but now i just always have the reimagined version stuck in my head as if it was the original!... Just shows how talented Ronnie is & how amazing the reimagined version is

The 2nd version was composed specially for Radke by pianist and composer Sean Rooney was released in 2020 to commemorate the album going Gold.

Hard to get the melody out of your head once it's in there. That's never a bad thing with FIR

They reimagined it because an English pianist contacted Ronnie with a soft piano version and Ronnie loved it.

The single greatest remake of a song... ever. The difficulty of pulling that rendition of that song off is off the charts.

Great reaction again! As far as I know Ronnie was one of the first to bring the 80' look back, when he started his first band. He said, that his band wasn't very enthusiastic about it, but he wanted a look, nobody had at this time and combine a look and a type of music that people didn't expect together in order to unsettle them. Ronnie isn't playing the piano on the recording, but he played it in the video (he plays piano since he was a kid plus guitar and drums). After this masterpiece it's kind of hard to suggest another song by FiR😅 Maybe try something completely different like Chemical Prisoner, Fuck you and all your friends or Gangsta's Paradise (cover). Greetings from Germany!

Avenged sevenfold did that in 1999. I love Falling in reverse, but they are not even close to the same genre in this song. They both float in and out of different genres. Thats what makes them unique.

He redid the song because he didn't like the original song because he felt like the music for the original did not fit the lyrics and didn't give it the emotional and spiritual weight the reimagined version gives it. Also when he did the original he wasn't in the place is now so he didn't take the lyrics to heart like he does now when he's sober

Its weird because the most talented musicians are crazy about style. You mentioned Avenged, and I would love to see a better band musically in modern times, but their style was crazy. Look at zep back in the day (best band ever) and see how they rocked their style before it was cool. Its fun to watch.
