The end was his realization that no matter what he does, he can't protect Willow from the genetic disposition toward addiction. In the trilogy, the glowing eyes represents addiction. Drugs are more than just street drugs. It is anything that takes your focus away from living. Reaction videos are a drug I over consume at times.

This is how Ronnie ended up in prison. Ronnie met up with a guy (Colquitt) for a fight and a guy that was with Ronnie shot and killed a friend of Colquitt’s, although it was later found to be self-defense. Ronnie and Colquitt were both charged in connection to the death, but Colquitt killed himself before he could stand trial. Ronnie was given 5 years probation. Then he didn’t show up for a probation meeting and got his probation revoked. He was originally sentenced to four years, but only served 2 1/2, but half was spent in solitary confinement. His life has been wild.

also forgot to add that Ronnie brought brass knuckles to the fight as well so he was charged with being in possession of a deadly weapon on top of accomplice of murder i believe. Pretty sure I heard him say that he doesnt really know why he brought them, he just thought that he should.

Spending months in solitary explains so much. Looking at him before and after prison is like he's two different people. I'm assuming he did a deep introspective dive, looking at the state of his life and realized where he was headed if he didn't change, and then he came up with a plan. It's sad to say but I think he wouldn't be such an amazing artist without his time away.

I just think of the three songs as stages of his life/addiction. The black stuff in the first one represented heroin and the ascent was the high. You were right on point about the lyrics. At least that’s how I take them too. In Losing My Life he kind of splits off into good/sober Ronnie and bad/addicted Ronnie, as far as I can tell. I think he meant that the stuff he’s done and who’s he been since jail is planned lol he formed FIR and wrote their first album in prison. When he wakes up and his daughter is older, I think that is representing the possibility that he could’ve lost all that time with her from being in jail and drugs and things like that. And yeah, Willow is definitely his anchor. Like in a good way lol she keeps him grounded. He had a dream that he was going to die in 2033, that’s where that comes from. Then he talks about killing himself sometimes, like reinventing himself, getting sober, getting out of jail, changing a style of music, etc. The Corey Taylor cameo is so 🔥 in Drugs. When he confronts his mom, and pretty much the whole trilogy, he’s taking control of the things that happened in his past. She had a drug problem and left him. I think you can really see his progression as a person in Drugs. The “the American dream is a killing machine” is such a super dope lyric. He’s talking about drugs, but also all the stuff we use to cope. Then when he wakes up and sees Willow and her eyes flash like the other versions of himself, is what I assume represents the chance that he is passing down the things that he’s been through to her and his concern about that. People hate on him for a lot of things. Some he did, some he didn’t, some are just haters because he changes sounds and just does what he wants. Basically people trying to gatekeep his talent. This was absolutely one of my favorite breakdowns of this song. Thank you! 🖤 I can’t wait for you to check out The Drug In Me Is You (2011)/The Drug In Me Is Reimagined (2020) and I’m Not a Vampire (2011)/I’m Not a Vampire Revamped (2021). Hopefully the original and new one in the same video 😊🖤🖤🖤

Drugs, great lead in to Slipknot, with Corey Taylor being in the song, I recommend "Spit it Out" , "Snuff", and "Sulfur" . So Ronnie used to have a very bad drug addiction back when he was in his old band "Escape The Fate". Said drug problem, along with missing a meeting with his parole officer for a fight he was involved in (someone died in that fight but he didn't kill the person), it ended up getting him locked up. While he was in jail, Escape The Fate kicked him out of the band, and he started writing music and coming up with a concept for a new band while he was doing his time and getting clean and sober in the process. After he got bailed out, he and a few other talents have gotten together and formed the band that we know now "Falling In Reverse".

Please check out more Falling in Reverse. Maybe The Drug In Me Is and The Drug In Me Is Reimagined next. I'd also like to suggest Kid Bookie, an independent artist from the UK, ft Corey Taylor (from Slipknot) "Stuck in my Ways". Grüße aus Deutschland! So here's what Ronnie said: „‚LOSING MY LIFE‘ IS THE CONTINUATION OF WHERE ‚LOSING MY MIND‘ ENDED. IT’S THE DICHOTOMIES AND IRONIC PARALLELS BETWEEN SELF-REFLECTION AND THE SELF-DESTRUCTIVE NATURE THAT WE AS HUMANS FACE ON A DAILY BASIS IN MODERN TIMES. WHETHER IT BE CONSTANT JUDGMENTS FROM OUR PEERS, NOT BEING GOOD ENOUGH, TO NOT KNOWING WHO TO TRUST, I’VE COME TO THE REALIZATION THAT WE ARE ALL THE SAME AT OUR CORE. YET, IRONICALLY, WE PROJECT OUR FEARS IN THE FORM OF HATE ONTO EACH OTHER. BOUNCING BETWEEN DIMENSIONS, AS THE VIDEO PORTRAYS, THERE ARE TWO OF ME THAT ARE POLAR OPPOSITES OF EACH OTHER: ONE TRYING TO PROVE TO THE WORLD HE IS GOOD ENOUGH, AND THE OTHER TRYING TO STOP HIM FROM IT. HE ULTIMATELY KILLS HIS ‚REFLECTION‘ - THE MIRRORED ENTITY NEGATING HIS PROGRESS BY INTER-DIMENSIONAL TIME TRAVEL- ONLY TO FIND THAT THE OTHER VERSION OF ‚HIM‘ HE KILLS COMES BACK TO LIFE, REGENERATING THE FEELINGS AGAIN. IT’S MY ANALOGY OF THE CYCLICAL BATTLE WE ALL FACE ON A DAY TO DAY BASIS. HOWEVER, THIS UNDERLYING MESSAGE CAN BE TRANSLATED IN MANY DIFFERENT WAYS. IT’S ALL IN THE EYES AND EARS OF THE BEHOLDER.“ https: //cybmag.de /falling -in-reverse-mit-neuem- song- losing-my-life/ (I added some spaces because yt doesn't seem to like links)

The tour did get cancelled around that time but the FiR statement said it was actually due to a close relation of one of his band members being in critical condition in hospital, I don't think it was Covid related but I could be wrong about that, anyway it didn't sit right with the group to expect him to travel. Ronnie has said he'd be open to doing a track with Tom one day on an old live stream, maybe we'll get that at some point too! Pretty sure that was years ago and I have no idea if Tom ever heard it or said anything about doing a track with Ronnie. Their new track Zombiefied was huge and aimed squarely at cancel culture 🔥

A developer angle, nice :) Looks like any of the old DOS-related languages to me. Losing my Life is my favorite, but it seems like everyone likes different things. I always felt it was also about if he stayed on drugs he would have missed her childhood. That and at the end of Drugs he seems to fear Willow has inherited the addiction from him and his mom. New insight to me. Deep, Deep Deep...rappers promoting the death of the fan listening to their songs. I haven't thought of it that way. Yep, social media is a drug also (your comments on TikTok). Ronnie carries a pain because of his mother, about being abandoned, he himself has said (and put it in old songs) that he held a lot of grudges, so much so that he got the tattoo of his mother's severed head, after his brother passed away he changed a lot and said he got rid of those hurts and even thought about covering the tattoo, it's a sad story. Mainly because he has a daughter, she imagines her father having all this hatred and also him not wanting his daughter to go through the same thing.

Since you have done a bit of rock may I put you onto a rockband of 3 sisters called The Warning, from Mexico. They play, write and perform all their own original songs. Being at a young age too and playing together for 10 years, Dany lead vocals and guitar is the eldest at 22. Pau, 20 years old and on drums and vocals is followed by the youngest sister on bass and backing vocals at 17. They opened for The Foo Fighters in March and are just taking a break with touring with Halestorm and The Pretty Reckless. They will also be opening for Guns and Roses in October. They are a hard rock, classic rock, old school rock vibe of band with some modern mixed in. Give Evolve, Choke, Animosity a reaction please. Not only will you enjoy the music but they are great lyricists too. You have been Warned and will fall down this rabbit hole with 40+ songs. Even Metallica invited them to record a version of one of their songs for their Blacklist album. They did a version of Enter sandman which is great too. Sorry for the long message and hope you will find time to check these ladies out. 🤟

If you want to keep following the Ronnie rabbit hole (which you do trust me) you want to listen to The Drug In Me Is you + the reimagined version or I'm Not A Vampire + revamped versions. They show off his insane vocal range and mastery of music genres from fast to slow with e same words its an amazing discovery and you wont be disappointed I promise. Love the videos!

"He's still asleep, he's not awake yet." Makes me think even someone trying to send messages like him with "Drugs" he's still blinded by lies and trying to find the truth.

Ronnie use to be the lead singer for the band Escape the fate but then got locked up because he was there when his “friend” killed a guy. He’s innocent but spent time in prison. While locked up he formed a band with Derrick Jones who sadly died in 2020 that was the start of falling in reverse. He’s huge on twitch and he reacts to peoples videos of them reacting to his music. Please do all their music

Man I love your reactions and insights into the lyrics and visuals. I listen to primarily metal and rock so I really get into these videos, always enjoy seeing new videos! Love it, keep it up! Edit: Finding out you're a developer as well, you got it all! I'm really trying to get more into coding and just learning as much as I can about computers in general. Always loved electronics but never had the opportunity to pursue it until recently so I'm trying to sponge up anything and everything lol

Great video!! I wish people would do actual FIRST TIME reactions though. Still great content with the break downs of the lyrics and your interpretations.

I love how the rock horns just sort of appear. It just can't be helped . Ronnie, when he was with his other band, was at a party/event in the desert and there was a fight that broke out. I believe someone was killed and Ronnie ended up going to prison for being involved (He was not the person who did it but it was his posse that was involved I believe). He didn't get a long sentence but was then sentenced to longer for breaking parole or something. While locked up, his group dropped him so he began FiR. I'm sure someone knows better but that's what I understand about the situation.
