Though honestly anyone that knows the lives of both Ronnie and Corey knows that they've both... been through some shit, let's just say. So yeah, Corey likely did this as someone who knows EXACTLY where Ronnie and the song were coming from. But yeah, Corey is everywhere now... between Slipknot, Stone Sour, his solo work and wherever else he pops up, dude is keeping busy. And like we've seen recently... sounds like he's keeping busy for a reason, and is on the verge of taking a break for his mental health.

It's also a metaphor for him battling his past addictions.. In Losing My Mind, the woman in silver was symbolic of a spoon, and the black goo represented black tar heroin.

❤ FIR. I feel like you got it pretty much right. I think the symbolism with his daughter is that he's afraid of losing time with her and scared to pass his addiction on to her. That's just my take on that particular part. You should check out his song "When I Left The Womb" and "Brother" both sad but gives you a bit more about him and his perspective. Also 100% agree people are super soft nowadays instead of putting on their big britches they instead lean in on the pain and feel sorry for themselves the problem is the world don't care about your pain because we all have our own shit we are going through. I now like your videos before they even start. I love the progression from the first one where he's addicted and not ready to change, to the second where he's finding out who his friends are (or aren't) as he's going through recovery. I think coming out of the grave and the fight in Drugs symbolizes his continual fight with his addiction/cravings when they resurface. I love his honesty. I agree with you that it's so visceral that he forces you to feel what he felt when you're experiencing these songs. He's an incredible actor as well as musician. P.S. I absolutely loved watching ur reactions 2 the trilogy. You're right about Willow being his anchor, she keeps him grounded & she was his reason 4 getting/staying clean & sober so he could be there 4 her. Both his parents were addicts but his mother abandoned him when he was a baby so his father got clean to raise him & his brother by himself. Unfortunately Ronnie ended up addicted 2 black tar heroin then got clean while in prison, yrs later he 4gave her. He did get 2 meet her later on unfortunately cuz of her drug use she was dying so when he says "this is my 1st hello & my last goodbye" he was talking bout that. With him crying right after is him being terrified that he could've passed down the predisposition of addiction 2 Willow. I always love watching your reactions 2 them, I saw a comment stating that your reactions are always genuine...that's soo true.

You the first person I've heard that understood the metaphor of drugs causing that downward spiral before finishing the whole trilogy. I always took it to mean that his good self that's the best has been in there the whole time but can't surface as long as he's having to battle his drug self (which is why he starts off face down dead in Drugs - all of that is for nothing as long as drugs are in the picture)

Losing my mind: He wasn’t ready to give up the addiction and that was his way of telling people to f off. It was the birth of his daughter that made him decide to get clean. He has stayed clean all these years Losing my life is him battling to get clean Drugs well it’s self explanatory lol

The whole trilogy is Ronnie fearing his own addictions might manifest in his daughter. He had a rough upbringing being born to a family of addicts and his mom bailed soon after. He had addiction problems for some years and a major run in with the law where he was implicated in a murder and if he would have been convicted as an accessory in that case he would have been out of jail in 2033 hence the 2033 references in the videos. This meant he would have lost his child growing up and that scared the shit outta him and set him straight after that. Willow's existence made him to get to the right path, and she still is his anchor. His greatest fear is seeing his child battling the same addiction problems hi had.

Yes very enjoyable. My daughter watched it with me. She loves falling in reverse. You got the basics down pretty good. In a nutshell…. Losing my mind is basically him not giving a fuck and doing what he wants to do without a care in the world then he tries heroin. That’s the lady in silver spitting the black tar in his mouth. Then he’s high (floating up in the sky towards the end) and when finally opens his eyes at the very end and they’re glowing represents the addiction he just developed. Losing my Life, blonde Ronnie is the addict that sober Ronnie (black hair) is fighting. Drugs ties it together by revealing that the abandonment from his mother was a big part of his past problems and that everyone is addicted to something whether it’s actual drugs or other things. He had a dream that he is supposed to die in 2033 that’s why he freaks out when he wakes up and his daughter is older and it’s 2033 cuz he knows he wasted his life being a drug addict and missed her growing up. The end is him being scared that he will pass the addiction onto his daughter like his mother passed it to him. That’s why her eyes light up and he says “you godda be fucking kidding me” this is the longest comment I’ve ever commented 😂
