The rocks you showed going up Kinsman seem pretty similar to parts of White Dot trail up Monadnock. 20-25 years ago I climbed Monadnock 20-50 times per year. Day, night, summer, winter, if you climb a particular mountain enough, under enough different conditions, each rock and root you step on becomes familiar, even if you don't remember the exact order they're going to come at you in.

We have had so much rain. Mount Washington observatory posted "It's been a wet June - as of 0530 EDT, 28 June 2023, 16.58 inches of precip has fallen in June making it the 2nd wettest June in our dataset. June 1998 is currently #1 with 19.96 inches. But, more rain is expected in the days ahead, so 2023 could surpass it. We will see.." Good luck. Enjoy the journey. Be safe.❤

When trekking through places that are wet and muddy please be careful and I suggest don’t go alone. Had I ventured out alone early spring in New England had I been alone I would have not been pulled from a mud hole that I was in up waist deep both legs. And it’s the stuff that sucks you down like a vacuum cleaner. It took 5-7 people to pull me out

7:52 Pause it. My favorite part of a hike. The summit. Putting eyes on it for the first time......in clear weather preferably, but any summit is a good summit. This might sound cheesy but you experience it, you breath it in and means something years after you do it. It becomes a part of you.

Hi Taylor! Just watched you on Big T's channel at Mt. Washington. So fun! I have been thinking of you as I watched Stella-Nyx head through the 100 mile wilderness. She and Leffe made a good team. Cannot imagine her going through all she did alone. You are such a strong and aware hiker....but secretly....I hope I'm not being to much of a mom to say I hope you have close tramily to help each other through that part of the journey too. You have done a wonderful job of sharing your journey. Its the first thing I look forward to in the morning. Thank you for sharing the experience.

Taylor, I hope you hang around this tramily, or find someone to do the HMW with! With all the different dangers and especially the water this year, it would be wise to not be alone. You're going to crush it either way!!!! Would you ever hike again SOBO?????

One of these days, I will pull out my topos so I can keep track of where you are. I have a hard time visualizing where the AT goes from day to day. This part of the NH AT I get "lost", in my mind, as it's not part of my "regular" hiking area. I am sorry but I burst out laughing when you went hip deep in the muck. That is one of my greatest fears when going through a muddy section. Ankle deep is bad enough. I couldn't imagine going hip deep. You need a chest mount for your phone so you can use both hands so I don't need to yell "put the phone down"!!! The Kinsmans are brutal. The section between Lonesome Lake and Cannon were my first introduction to the Kinsmans. That's one scary descent.

So what’s happening is last year was a dry summer, it’s rare to have back to back ones and this year it is balancing itself out. ‘20 was also dry while ‘21 was wetter but still a little below average. Also this June is going to be the first below average month (in temps) in the northeast in almost a year and a half which normally wasn’t unusual on a month to month basis…until the parts per million of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere got over 400 a few years ago. Another cycle of unhealthy air though will be shuffling in in a couple of days from the Canadian fires again, could lay low with a zero during it. Ayup, been to Maine.

OH NO! You seem to make many videos in what I deem potentially dangerous situations and I hold my breath each time. LOL Climbing up ladders/rebar stairs, with one hand, going across something where you need good balance, rock hopping to get across a water source, and you are taking a video. Each time I'm like "Taylor put the the camera away!!!!!!!!!" You daredevil you. Stay safe. Love your videos.
