Falling trees away from their natural lean using a chainsaw

Old video, I know, but wanted to thank you for putting it up. I had a tree damaged by an ice storm with the top broken that needed to come down. It leaned toward a structure and I wanted to encourage it to fall about 20 degrees away from its natural lean. This was a nice, concise explanation of how to do that. It worked perfectly. Tree came down perfectly and safely. Thanks!

The letter C comes before the letter T in the alphabet. This never changes and is constant. For felling trees against the lean you maintain this rule and do the compression side (back cut) first and wedge. Then you do the scarf cut (Tension). The reason is because if you wish to fell a tree against the lean and you do a scarf cut first the tree will sit back further making wedging harder and less viable. If you do the back cut first and wedge it can't sit back any further. This maintains the alphabet rule. Compression before Tension.
