I just came across this video on bucking down trees. I have seen probably dozens of bucking videos for trees in various positions and this is undoubtedly the BEST of all of them, with clear illustrations and techniques. I hope more people run across this video. At the time of my writing this, it only had 3 comments on a great video...unbelievable. It has been bookmarked by me for future reference.

Great video. I especially liked the technique with the nose and starting under the log. You didn't just tell us to be careful or not do it! The angle cut when one side isn't going to fall was new, too. Cutting into the far side when you have a shorter bar is going to make me look like a champion this weekend.

Drip some oil on the chain before you start. It won’t bug down at the end. Don’t push on the saw, you’ll get it done in half the time. I just did 30 inch cuts with an 18 bar and oiling the chain made all the difference.
