I have a draft/paint horse who did everything else but barrel race and he was very terrified of the barrels but after a few months of getting him used to the barrels and going under him and around them he was not afraid of them and now our best time is a 15.6 and I am very proud of him

I use a draft/paint that I use for cowboy mounted shooting, she doesn't look like it but she is a speed demon. I just started her under a year ago and our best time is a 18 second clean run. I love her to bits

As a horse trainer I really appreciate you putting it out there that the horse is only going to stay as good as the person riding it. Every time you are touching the lead rope you are either training or untraining it. That is so true and not many people understand that. The horse is going to take time to adapt to new environments and routines and will not be the same exact horse as when it left the sale barn. Something I have implemented is every horse that leaves my barn whether a sale or people taking it home from training, I make a video explaining what it knows, how I cue it to do those things, and the equipment that I’m using. That way if Sally takes it home and says it knows nothing she can look back at the video and see that it has been trained and how it was going when it left. I truly appreciate you bringing light into that in this video.

I have binge watched several vlogs since first stumbling on your vlogs through your purchase of Dupe. I live in Kansas and follow the Peabody kill pen. We need to encourage more people to look to these horses to meet their equine goals. I especially liked this vlog that discusses what you look for. I don’t race but find the tips you give on horse training and personal goal setting and perseverance of merit. I appreciate your promotion of helmets. I appreciate your philosophy to find the greatest potential for that horse and not force him/her to be something unattainable. I am looking forward to see Dupe’s progress. I appreciate you make it well known that lots of hard work is involved irregardless of pedigree.

Birdcatcher Spots and BendOr Spots! BIRDCATCHER SPOTS are white spots that can appear on a coat. Famously named after the tb stallion Birdcatcher who presented this phenotype. They are suspected to be genetically linked, hence why a lot of horses that present Birdcatcher spots are linked back to the namesaked stallion, but there are some other lines that may contribute to the spots aswell. BENDOR SPOTS are the black spots on the red based horses that Fallon referred too. Similar to Birdcatcher Spot, as they were also named after the tb stallion, BendOr. But there is currently no rhyme or reason as to why they occur 😊🥰

I've had an Appy/TB that was my 1st barrel/gymkhana horse & she was amazing. My grandma & I trained her on the patterns in the beginning. ♡ Then my next one was an Arabian/Mustang. When we got her she was already a finished Barrel/Pole horse. Was just a natural on the gymkhana events too. I prefer crosses, never purebreds. They're just not for me lol.

I have 2 Standardbreds that I do barrel racing on, 1 is an expacer and the other is just a standy but they love to run barrels they do very well I have place first in a few rodeos but I don’t compete at pro level just local rodeos and they really seem to enjoy it. It did take alit of training but any breed is able to do whatever you want as long as you have time and patience. Also I love the content Fallon definitely my favourite barrel racer 😁
