It's heartwarming how she is 100% aware and connected to the audience just as much as she is to Jimmy. I don't remember seeing a guest turn to the audience when answering a question, like she does. She's talking to everyone in the room, acknowledging everyone's presence, because she truly cares. What made so many of us feel sorry for her at one point of her life, was exactly what made her grow up to be one of the most empathetic, humble and loving beings alive. Of course she already had that in her, the storms were just watering it.
