Disappointed with Saturday's Night's portrayal of Jim, though I think Nick does a good job. Jim Henson was never so precious about the muppets. "They're your costars"?! Meanwhile Jim stepped on the Ernie puppet once on Sesame Street and Carol Spinney picked the puppet up, apologizing to it. Jim turns around and tells him "It's just a puppet". And sure Jim was a big ole hippie, but he named his first Muppet Show Special "Sex and Violence". If they focused on the discordant nature of the SNL writers not knowing how to write for sketches they hated doing in the first place and the Muppet staff being sore about not getting to write their own material it would've been better than this "Jim is too sensitive" light they seem to be casting.
