This poem was not actually by EE Cummings, or any famous poet for that matter, but by Ann Ashford and Bill Drath for their children's book "If I Found a Wistful Unicorn". Here is an excerpt from that book, which contains those very lines spoken by Matthew in this video: "If I found a wistful unicorn, and brought him to you all forlorn... Would you pet him? If I took an empty midnight train across the country in the rain... Would you meet me? If I picked a little flower up and put it in a paper cup... Would you smell it? If I found a secret place to go, with you the only one to know... Would you be there? If my cricket coughed and got the flu, and needed warmth and comfort too... Would you hold him? If my rainbow were to turn all gray, and wouldn't shine at all today... Would you paint it? If my soul were feeling all alone and wasn't near a telephone... Would you write to it? If my clock developed nervous strain, and needed help to "tock" again... Would you fix it? If I were to dance for you, as hard as that would be to do... Would you watch me? If my pet turnip turned on me, and bit me fiercely on the knee... Would you bandage it? If my nightingale were a monotone and much too shy to sing alone, Would you hum with him? If all that I would want to do would be to sit and talk to you... Would you listen? If any of these things you'll do, I'll never have to say to you... Do you love me?" Beautiful, huh?

Some folks are so negative about Fallon but whatever I really like him. He is funny, self deprecating and doesn't just rattle on the same 5 questions that actors get asked during movie promotions over and over again. I like the games he does with them and that he actually gives them a bit of a distraction from the routine. Keep it up Jimmy. I had stopped watching late night talk shows awhile back cause everyone just seemed a sarcastic ass. Glad you are just fun.

One time in high school we had to write a poem in my English class. So the day after we turn the poems in the teacher announces that her favorite one was written by one of the guys in the class whose name was Geoffrey. She liked it so much that she read it out loud to the class. Here's what it said : " Your love is like a river peaceful and deep. Your soul is like a secret that I never could keep. When I look into your eyes I know that its true. God must have spent a little more time on you. " The whole class was rolling with laughter and she says " Why you are laughing? This is where music comes from. " We all were just like " THAT'S A SONG !!!!!!! " Yeah she wasn't praising Geoffrey after that....

Here's a great poem: I remember you was conflicted Misusing your influence Sometimes I did the same Abusing my power, full of resentment Resentment that turned into a deep depression Found myself screaming in a hotel room I didn't want to self destruct The evils of Lucy was all around me So I went running for answers Until I came home But that didn't stop survivor's guilt Going back and forth trying to convince myself the stripes I earned Or maybe how A-1 my foundation was But while my loved ones was fighting a continuous war back in the city I was entering a new one A war that was based on apartheid and discrimination Made me wanna go back to the city and tell the homies what I learned The word was respect Just because you wore a different gang color than mine's Doesn't mean I can't respect you as a black man Forgetting all the pain and hurt we caused each other in these streets If I respect you, we unify and stop the enemy from killing us But I don't know, I'm no mortal man, maybe I'm just another nigga - Kendrick Lamar
