I saw them in 2016 and it was one of the best live vocal performances I've ever seen, but at 73 she just isn't going to sound like she did at 30.

@@markgray6982 I saw the 78 tour and most of the tours since then. No, it wasn't that far from 70s Heart, but anyone thinking Ann is going to sound at 73 like she did at 30 is naive. The biggest difference between this and 70s Heart is Ann's voice is 40 years older and doesn't nail the high notes as well; otherwise it sounds like they always have. One other more minor difference is that in 78 Nancy played an acoustic on Barracuda which we could hear in certain spots and now they clearly don't have an acoustic playing along.

I've seen Heart 34 times since 1977. I was 15 the first time I ever heard them on my parent's Magnavox stereo console when Crazy On You was released. It sounded so awesome cranked up loud! The Wilson sisters have always rocked with a cool, unique sound!

Ann is one of my heroes and I said at the beginning of the year that IF i ever wanted to see her perform, that I have to travel to the US... few moments later I found out they are coming to some festivals my home country and belgium. I was too young to see them during the Dog and Butterfly tour, but I've heard (and seen on video) that was the band's absolute best tour. The Largo 1978 concert on KZbin is pretty incredible. Of their 80s/90s big tours I thought the Bad Animals tour in 87 was the best they sounded. Wasn't crazy about their sound mix on the 1985, 1990, or 1994 tours but 1987 they got rid of some of the polish and sounded really heavy and distorted.

I wish Heart over the years had kept their band intact; my biggest disappointment about this tour is that they are using a hodgepodge of session musicians who have never played in Heart before. So to me it's not really Heart, it's Ann and Nancy with session musicians playing Heart.

Would it be great to see a reunion of the original, RRHoF lineup? Hell yes! But the musicians in this group are all insanely talented and been loyal to Ann and each other as a band for at least the last 3 years and seem to have clicked really well with Nancy as well. There have been 30 plus different members of Heart over the years. These guys are just the newest and some of the best ones. I will be catching this tour as many times as possible. I will not, as a life-long fan, take for granted that it could quite likely be the last. 🤘🏻

One thing about Heart is they'd never do that. Even back in the day when they'd appear on shows where bands were told to lip sync Ann generally refused; they'd use an instrumental backing track to whatever song but Ann would sing live. I think the only time I ever saw them truly lip sync was on ToTP, but aside from that Ann usually sang live even if the band had to fake it.

She's very careful about not pushing beyond her limits. She's much more restrained here than she used to be, but thats to be expected. Her voice has aged about as well as Rob Halford, probably a bit better because she didn't have major issues as far as I know (that can make a big difference).

This song came out 20 years earlier the day I was born. This song got my mom through labor & delivery 😂 I still listen to it, My aunt who passed was a big fan of Heart ! This lady is 74 and still singing her original song 47 yrs later the same way! Her vocals are crazy ! You can tell she loves her voice, she has taken care of it, and I believe she will still be singing this song until she gets called home.

I can not tell you how many times I've seen Heart live..But I can tell you this: They ALWAYS kick ass! Their Zeppelin cover songs encores are something to look forward to as well!

Lucky to have seen them at high school dances in the 70's, and on many occassions since. They are the real deal, in rock n roll. If you have the chance, dont miss this tour in person.
