Also some of those parts he didn't finish playing and it just made it to the recording somehow haha. I love Charlie and I see how for the sake of time they made the beat ahead of time, because otherwise we'd seen him take at least 5-10 minutes to put it together.

There's many notes in the chords and bass parts that he never plays on his keyboard but that you can hear nevertheless in the final result. (Plus you can hear that there was a little bit of mixing and mastering) Imo, it takes off a little bit of magic, but this guy is awesome anyway with everything he does so whatever, it does the trick 💫

Not to take away from Charlie, he's the man. But this wasn't entirely spontaneous. When he was playing the baseline he forgot to finish it. You can hear the remainder of the loop (that he didn't play) come in after in the recording. Now, he probably could have done this all spontaneously sure, but it definitely helped to have the tracks already laid out for time purposes. But great bit for sure. He's an awesome talent.
