Explosives also determines how long a you have to disarm or move away from a mine before it explodes.

The Rock-It Launcher counts as a Big Gun. Ammo for it is all over the place, and it's probably one of the first weapons a player runs across -- assuming they go to Megaton and talk with Moira. It's very powerful. That said, I don't think it moves the needle much on Ron's chart here.

Going back to the Interplay games and including FO3 and New Vegas my Tag skills are always Small Guns, Speech and Sneak. I've never been disappointed leveling those first.

I like getting speech up to at least 50 as soon as I can, so I have a decent chance at the speech checks without having to do too much save scumming. Other than that, I boost my primary weapon skill, lock picking and science. The rest more or less depends on what perks are going to be available soon.

Only time i’ve ever maxxed out barter is when using the fat man, due to minis being expensive. Kinda sad it isn’t used for more. At least it got kinda buffed in new vegas with the amount of checks it governs.

From my experience early game cash is hard to come by, and there's many things you want to buy (ammo, stimpacks, schematics etc). Barter may be useful to get a better start, and also if you have low strength you won't be able to carry as much stuff to sell so getting more caps for less sales is nice

I checked the wiki, and apparently the +15% melee crit chance on the Ninja perk doesn’t work without the Unofficial Fallout 3 patch. I play on pc so I can fix this no problem, but if you’re a console player, I wouldn’t bother with Ninja as the bonus crit chance is the main draw of the perk.

"perception is not really that great" Do Better Criticals mean nothing to you? 🤣
@MarkofWisdom28 күн бұрын
have that level of perception is needed, and I think he mentioned that perk specifically, but above that it really doesn't do much meaning it isn't valuable to max out or really get high up like strength or luck could be depending on build
@mysterioushazel28 күн бұрын
honestly its not really worth putting points into perception which is pretty much completely useless just for a perk you dont get until like, level 15. even if it IS a great perk its hardly a requirement
