New Vegas is without a doubt the superior game. I've played them all, DLC and platinum the ones that had. The only demerit of NV is the lack of post-game content, I would have loved to see the world with the Legion/NCR taken down (the DLC doesn't count). It already had a massive amount of content and updates though, so it's reasonable for there not to be any post-game content.

Fun story about Dogmeat, they've been around since FO1, which taked place in 2161. Fast forward to FO4, taking place in 2277, and you're looking at a Dogmeat that's more than a century old. It's a callback to the movie "A Boy and His Dog" in which the main character at one point refers to his dog, named 'Blood', as 'Dogmeat'.

Not to my knowledge. You can at any moment turn the entire story around at the flip of a dime, shoot down anyone, at any point. TLDR what happens if you saved sims before he got shot?

Back when Fallout 3 first came out I legitimately did most if not 100% of the game on a Good Karma route and most of it again in a bad Karma route. But I was college age, had way too much free time and there weren't nearly as many games deserving of your time being released (not to mention just not having the money to buy them at that age) and it just fit into that special time in my life where I could be bothered to do it. I doubt that precise set of circumstances will ever happen for a game this expansive ever again. And going back I've definitely experienced the "Fallout fatigue" because I know as fun as the game is I've not only seen it before but there are not only many more new games to experience but I just don't have that amount of time to put into one game and enjoy everything it has to offer.

It was a good idea, but poorly executed. Revelation 21:6 features heavily in the game. Aside from it being the inspiration to build the water purifier, it applies to the player as well, as you play through your characters Beginning/Birth to their End/Death. I think its just a matter of what you want and what you can do. The possibilities were limitless in the style of the Obsidian games. They were basically as expansive lore-wise as a book. But going 3D sacrificed so much considering Fallout 3 was released in 2008. Fallout Van Buren was the prototype from Obsidian Bethesda would recycle and the content from that alone was so promising. Bethesda trapped themselves with their engine, the stories and designs you could pull off with a completely redone engine could rival Obsidian's work. I know they redid Gamebryo but just starting from scratch (although expensive and time consuming) could solve so much. If you dont believe me look at Fallout 4 concept art.
@jakubrosiecki4432 жыл бұрын
There’s just no depth to fallout 3. Creetosis has made fantastic videos explaining why fallout 3 and 4 were awful games. They absolutely shit on the lore and worldbuilding of the previous entries. Bethesda simply didn’t put any effort into understanding the complexity of Fallout’s world and it shows. It blows my mind that some people call it one of the best games of all time. IMO it’s painfully mediocre at best but the fact that it fails as an RPG and disrespects its source material makes it utter trash.
@kevinphiggins2 жыл бұрын

Fallout 3 is amazing, seriously, fallout new vegas is truly a masterpiece, not only because of the various in depth RPG mechanics and characters, but also its insane development time. But Fallout 3 in my opinion, is just as good as New Vegas. Yes, the RPG mechanics are no where near as in depth, and the story is not as captivating. But fallout 3 not only has fantastic gameplay sessions (Like Tranquility lane) but in my opinion, a far better and more fun world to explore and discover than New vegas. The characters (most of them) are extremely memorable, (like mayor Mccready and Fawkes). So I think Fallout 3 is truly amazing and set a fantastic foundation for new vegas to build upon and reach even better hights in some regards.

God, I remember 100%ing Fallout 3... I loved every minute of it! It's still my favourite in the series! Thanks so much for completing such a special hit!

It's validating to hear him call this game one of the most immersive he's ever played. Seeing this game on the PS3 blew my mind back in the day and was one of my favorite games. For some reason I love this shitty world and how real it feels to me. Listening to Galaxy News Radio with broken highways in the distance, I'm just there. (And I thought it was funny now he mentally switched the n and g in ingot to call them ignots lol. That's a good name for an evil alien race)

I like to think I've done everything in this game, but since I've never had a gaming PC I've always ended up with a gigantic save file that crashed my game to the point it was unplayable.. and dont even think about DLC. Same thing happened with new vegas. Really sucks

Not a perfect masterpiece by any means, but to me, this game will always be a 10/10.

Great to see Fallout 3 on here. I don't blame Jirard for getting a little taken out of the experience by the second and third playthroughs, but I'm glad he loved that first run so much.

Fallout 3 one of my favorite games. Though I love 2 and New Vegas too. I just love how immersive it can be, and it's brand of humor works with me well.

I put hundreds of hours into fallout 3. I did almost every quest, and stopped playing without ever finishing the main storyline. 10/10.

It’s probably bethesdas best main story, besides starfield too hahaha

I only played F3 once (plus DLC’s) and the one moment I can never forget is the tragedy of Dogmeat. I was moving along to my next destination when I heard a yelping behind me. Looking around I saw Dogmeat was not following. I hurry back and find Dogmeat lying dead by a Mirelurk. I avenged him, but it was too late. Dogmeat was gone.

why choose when with Mods you can play in both worlds? A Tale of Two Wastelands is just one mod that you should have in your loadout.

Fallout 3 is probably one of my favorite games of all time. It introduced me to RPGs and FPSs and was my first “adult” game beyond Nintendo titles. It holds a special place in my heart

Fallout 3: Another one of the games with the number 3 in the title in a franchise (not always the third game in the series) that brought people into the franchise. Others include Grand Theft Auto 3, Persona 3, Yakuza 3, Elder Scrolls 3, & Shin Megami Tensei 3. Edit: Completely forgot about Far Cry 3, Metroid 3 (Super Metroid), & Witcher 3.

Fallout 3 means a lot to me. It was the first game of its kind I ever played, and I'll always respect what it did for me, forever being a part of shaping my taste in games. But I just can't go back after playing New Vegas.
