Fallout 4: Defending Lexington from the Covenant as an ODST

Short capture of my current load order, just having some fun while also showing off some upcoming stuff I'm working on!
New things in this video:
-ODST VISR mode, a combination of Toggleable HighTech Vision Modes and a custom Reshade setup. (Reshade setup and patch for THVM likely available soon.)
-Working on getting Covenant models from Halo: Infintie ported over
-Covenant all have voice lines now, around 250 for each species. (These NPCs may receive a standalone release, but are primarily being worked on for the larger UNSC worldspace mod I'm developing.)
-H2A flood models are in the process of being ported for feral ghouls. (The Human and Elite combat forms are mostly done so far, though there are some weighting issues to fix. Still tinkering with ideas to get infection and carrier forms in with some actual infection functions.)
Using Quantum Horizons ENB with Vivid Weathers for visuals, and CRP for the landscape overhaul.
UNSC weapons are from Misriah Armory, Covenant weapons are thing I've been porting for the Covenant NPCs.
Elites and some Brutes have custom energy shields from Wasteland Energy Shields equipped.

Backstory: May 17th, 2568, 1800 Hours. Earth has been under siege by a new Covenant faction, and their attack has been successful, killing off much of the population on Earth. These Covenant have managed to keep the rest of the UNSC at bay, preventing reinforcements for the soldiers on Earth. The siege has gone on for 9 years, some parts of the Earth have been taken over by the Covenant, or devastated during the fighting, causing some places to become overgrown and abandoned. Some of the UNSC have been able to set up safe zones for civilians and troopers alike, one safe zone is the area around Concord and the neighborhood Sanctuary, and the Covenant have now been pushing northwest from Boston, to try and destroy it. The UNSC’s scouts warning of the impending army marching towards them, they sent out an elite ODST platoon for a counter attack. But when both sides clashed, the ODSTs were overwhelmed, and eventually either died or fled. Except for one, who is still remaining in Lexington, trying to fight off the rest of the Covenant forces in the abandoned city. This may just prove to us, that this one Helljumper, may be the best of them all…..

May 29th 2569 1100 hours. the helljumper found a civilian group known as the minutemen fighting off the covenant at sanctuary there general is known as the sole survivor they would fight off the covenant being successful but lost many casualties they would capture the oni castle base with feral ghouls in it the other group known as the brotherhood has threaten the minutemen an attack if they don’t give them the base they refuse and started an war that lasted 20 years and ended as a win for the minutemen the rest of the brotherhood is unknown and scrambling around there bunkers in the commonwealth the covenant would discover a forerunner artifact underneath the glowing sea ONI has made a misson to make sure the covenant doesn’t take the artifact at all costs they would take a pelican and head to the glowing sea with a pelican and the rest of the remaining minutemen an covenant anti air gun would shoot the pelicans wing causeing them to crash down and pass out with injuries. (Edit: just made some grammar fixes and this is just the fan made comment of his this isnt lore accurate to his in less he says so i would make changes if that is the case)

Honestly, a Full conversion mod for Fallout 4, set in Old / New Mombasa and maybe some other locations as you go through the game, would be really epic. Could have missions like "rescue civilians" defend x location from Covenant engagement, or assassination missions on corrupt NMPD/ONI officials. Hell, start it off playing as a civilian, that is being escorted out of the city by police forces, where your transport truck pulls into a old mombasa location, and the officers start lining up civilians they were supposed to be saving, and just gunning them down, before the area is attacked by a Covenant Phantom. during the attack, UNSC Forces show up and bail you out, starting your gameplay journey into the game proper. Oh no, I did it again...I made a theoretical Halo title that already feels like it would play better then anything 343i has done. Fuck...

I am working on a large worldspace (about the size of Far Harbor) and am planning on setting up questlines for it Not going to be city based, mostly rural/country atmosphere, but progress on that is coming along as quickly as I can (I'm just one guy working on most of this, and work full time, so progress comes and goes)

This is so cool! I've got a halo playthrough that I'm certain that I'm gonna start over once all of these mods drop. But my question for you is how your rig is running all of this smoothly with all that foliage and overgrowth. I'm really struggling with that in my saves recently and I never ran into the issue before.

The foliage mod I'm using is CRP (Commonwealth Reclamation Project), which is a discord only one I think, that completely replaces a lot of the vanilla assets and then redoes the precombines for the entire map, which really helps with the fps. Think I also have Boston Natural Surroundings, which doesn't use precombiens, but it doesn't give me too big of a hit

I would absolutely love to have Have Grunts, Jackals and Hunters in my game. And for the elites to actually sound like elites. But unfortunately there's only so much available for Xbox

It always amazes me what can be done with this game's UI and post processing. I don't understand why Bethesda doesn't package the Creation Engine (Or I guess Creation Engine 2 after Starfield) in a base state as a game engine. As far as I am aware, enough of the engine is proprietary to do this. That way, people could make their own games from ground up, rather than wrestling with the baked in wierdness present in every Bethesda game. Like, it's a pain developing for it, but if you have an engine that is so stable that it can balance over a thousand active mods and both not set your computer on fire and not break on startup, then they've at least done something right...

Touun's Ammo UI (was on Nexus, but was hidden recently) then a custom FallUI HUD layout I made, a custom condition boy patch for the ODST image, and then projecting an Overlay using Reshade!
