"Nice" Glad to see Preston has such a great opinion of your armor. I quite like the writing for Preston, because it really makes him sound like an actual person there, with you. His lines always have that powerful edge of emotion that nearly makes be break into tears. When he says "at least it's not raining" I look up and smile at him, seeing how optimistic he is, despite everything. The fact that we gives you so many settlements that are needing of help shows that he truly cares about the people of the commonwealth, and the fact the he always marks their location on your map shows that he really is happy that you are going out and showing those bandit hoards what for! God bless you, Preston. You truly are the best of us all.

+Patrick Harrison Shame about Preston's execution as a character, really. I mean, he's probably the nicest, most moral companion available that isn't Nick or Piper, and he's setting out to do good for its own sake, not necessarily because that good happens to benefit his faction. So I want to like him, and god damn it, I'm trying, but it turns out that, sadly, moral incorrigibility and nice hats don't cancel out personality, or lack thereof. Sorry, Preston, but you're going to have to save your own settlements for a while. I'm off to help the helpless with Nick, have afternoon tea with Codsworth like a proper goddamned gentleman and then get buzzed off my tits on Psycho and murder the Pillars Of The Community with Cait (you know, like normal couples do :D).

If they keep even 1 thing about Fallout 4 into the next Elder Scrolls, it should be companion personalities and stories. Companions in Fallout 3, and Skyrim were boring. They had no real personality, and their reactions to things were basically always the same. Like, beyond their initial story when you first meet them (Like Charon, Aela, Star Paladin Cross, Cicero). New Vegas, and this game did companion writing, great, at least in my opinion.

My first play through I stayed in power armor... Mostly because My only good stats were luck and intelligence, but after a while it became a role playing thing, I made myself and I just figured you get shot at least 5 times per gunfight, and survive and a mech suit was the only thing that made that moderately feasible.

You have to craft it if you want it on the X-01. It requires armorer and science 4. You get a T60 jetpack as an endgame reward for siding with the Brotherhood though.
