Fallout 4 Far Harbor - Building a Children of Atom Shrine

Now that I've finished Far Harbor - I thought it fitting to make a shrine to Atom in Sanctuary. This is a small build using the barn tab and the Children of Atom elements you unlock as you progress.

A child of atom themed settlement with settlers in rags and atom's robes would look great, you could have ghouls wandering around and the alchemist style lightbulbs everywhere.

You can put candles on the top box part of the raider skull pole and lanterns too. You can also hang buoys from the pointy end that sticks up in the air. If you need a reference I showed it in my Croup Manor and Fisherman's Cabin builds.

These small builds are so awesome! I actually used a lot of your tips in your church build and created a Children of Atom church the other day complete with bath tub of nuclear material and skulls etc. Excited to get through Far Harbour and update it :) Keep up the awesome work man!

no radiation traps? if you want a preacher in your main church, use an arena contestant stand with a table on it for a podium, I've found them useful for lots of that kind of stuff the first thing I did was to revamp my hunting / wasteland-workshop livetrap settlement with trapper stuff, and to make a church to the holy meat full of meat and fish and butcher hooks

I love this, gonna build my version in the town center around the tree, possibly a church and Nora's grave. I feel though a shrine to me the emperor of the wastes, a shrine to glorious atom, and Nora's grave will suffice.

Also you should use those canisters from the Gunner building in the city...Hallicigen Co? Something like that with the gunners going crazy from gas. I think you can make grenades from that quest afterword too....

Davey is placing junk through the workshop menu completely fixed? I've been playing on survival mode so there's no fast travelling and quite often when I leave my settlement and come back to it the items fall through the floor still. I'm pretty sure it's because of loading them in whilst i walk up to my settlement instead of during the fast travel loading screen. But maybe it's still bugged. Cheers mate!

It seems more or less completely fixed - bar settlers knocking them over; so all you need to do is be careful not to place things in the open.

Did you export the recording in the Elgato software or just use the raw files that by default are in a folder called EGC_Library? Those are .ts format which is a type of MPEG. But for me the exported recordings have always been .mp4, don't think you can even change that so not sure what happened with yours if you did export it.

nah it was just me not checking - there's an option to make every recording process into MP4 format, but I didn't tick that box so it defaulted to MPEG 2. It's all grand though - I used Handbreak on the mpeg and it's all good now. And I've ticket the wee box - so no troubles (hopefully) from now on :)

If you're talking about the "always convert new videos to mp4" setting, all that does is automatically begin exporting a video as soon as you stop recording. Turning it off just means you will have to export it manually by clicking the File (MP4) button in the Edit tab. The exported file is supposed to be an mp4 either way. I've always had that setting turned off because I usually want to cut unnecessary parts out before I export to reduce file size. Plus having videos exporting while I still want to record can have a performance hit, so I leave the exporting until I'm done.
