Good stuff. I like how the textures are still roughed up. So many of the "Sanctuary Rebuilt" mods have these weird shiny & new textures that look seriously out of place after 200 years in the wild.

I’d save the pre war house until after the game, I agree with you as I like this aesthetic more given where the player is at in game.(But depending if you’re sided with the institute, canonically they would have the technology to rebuild and restore said player home.)

I did this for one of my playthroughs, but rebuilt all the houses to look pre-war (same mod). The logic being that the Sole Survivor grew up pre-war and wouldn't settle for post-war dilapidated appearances. Unfortunately, the pre-war roof pieces are smaller than the ones Bethesda made, so that part looks quite different.

I think youre right that this build makes the most sense. When the SS got out of the Vault they came straight here and met with Codsworth. I imagine they wouldve stayed where they were familiar, and would want to prepare to bring their son home regardless of how much time had passed. It was 200 years for the Commonwealth, but for the SS the greatwar and waking up in the Wasteland all happened basically on the same day. They still have memories of their spouse in their home.

I used the exact same idea for my sanctuary home build. I felt like it's what the sole survivor would do. Only difference is I used the sliding doors in the USO mod because they are exactly like the original doors and I made my office in the Minutemen headquarters I made right in front of my house so I kept Shaun's room intact.Any way love your videos!

Great video, as always. My only suggestion would have been to have a side by side comparison instead of one after they other. That's how I prefer weather and terrain mod videos as well. just makes it easier. Not that I think you had all that many differences from pre-war.

Men you make gret builds and i love how you make tham so they fit in the Fallout world. Idk if you did the Castle,but if not you need to make it. Make it like relly defensive and inside are all the minutmen leader officers armory supplys stuff like that. Keep up the nice vids

I get that you were trying to stick as close to the original as possible while adding a few tweaks but I probably would have added a second floor. At least I would have added a different roof, one that wasn't all messed up. I also would not be able to sleep in the Master bedroom without some thick curtains cause those windows would let in a hell of a lot of light. He could also be flashing anyone in Sanctuary lol.

Which mod is the round ceiling light you have in the kitchen from? That's the doorway light in the pre-war house. I've been trying to find it for hours but to no avail. I'm running with about 255 plugins so I'm not sure if I have a mod conflict hiding some of the workshop items as I'm using SKE, Homemaker, Alternate Settlements, etc.

Jack Noir Maybe try Jamaica Plain. I love that place. despite its size. the Mechanist lair is also a cool place. I recommend getting a mod that removes the harsh build restrictions though. Egret Tours is also a sick place. fairly large too

There are some mods for repairing the roof or even returning it (the whole settlement) to pristine pre-war condition. I have not really found any that I like other than one that allows you to scrap the building entirely leaving just the foundation. Most of the mods just aren't fully done yet.

the issue is that i cant loginto the bethesda website (it does not load up all the way but stops at about 90%). Therefore i cant acces bethesdas mod forum either and have to acces the mods via the ingame mod browser. The searchfuntion of the ingame browser however is far from optimal, as some search results (regardless of how i phrase the mods names, use lowe/upper cases etc) dont bring up the correct mods: Place anywhere, scrap everything, snap and build etc- are not to be found via the serach funtion nor can i find them in any of the categorys (such as buildings, crafting, settelments etc.). Any ideas on how to get those mods (preferably from the bethesda side or the ig browser)? I desperatly keep tryign to use rug and pillar glitches but they dont work as good.
