+TrueEnding there's a secret ending: If you wait a bit longer before killing Father, a gen 1 synth will pound at you unleashing his steel fingers, and right before a synth stab you in the face with its menacing steel fingers, you hear your wife's voice calling you. And then light. Bright light. You woke up and shocked, your wife looks a bit scared. Confused, you compose yourself for a second. "Just a dream... A weird long dream", you thought. You look at the alarm clock. "Sunday, October 24th 2077: 03:55 AM" written on the clock. You let a long sigh, the whole nuclear apocalypse, taking refugee in Vault 111, emerge 200 years later, the Brotherhood, the Institute, everything is just a long dream. Your wife asked "honey, what's wrong? You look sweaty and pale". "Nothing, Nora. I just... I had a weird dream. The world ended yesterday from a nuclear blast and we were froze in a pod inside a big vault, then someone came, took Shaun and kill you. I woke up years later, stuck in apocalyptic world where the world has change drastically. Everything looks very strange". You replied. She also looks confused, but then she hugs you. It feels so warm and comforting. "Oh, Nate, don't be scared. It's just a dream, and I'm still alive teehee", she said. Then she kisses you on the cheek. "Go back to sleep, honey. don't worry about the dream. I've gotta check on Shaun". Then she gets up from the bed to other room. You still a bit confused, but pretty much already gain your sense. Then you lie down, thinking some stuff happened in your dream. The Brotherhood, the Minutemen, Railroad, Institute, everything. "a synth..." you muttered. Then you close your eyes and go back to sleep. After you go back to sleep, the camera zooms out of your room, your house, then your neighborhood, your city, and then it showed you and your city is inside a giant spaceship and could fit half of Boston into it. On the hull of the ship, it's written "SDF-1 Macross". Your ship is on the way outside the solar system to explore a solar system 20 light years from earth and already pass Pluto via brand new Space Fold technology. The sun shines faintly in the background. Then it fades to black. A logo appears. It said, "Mass Effect". I think I got a knack for being the next Shyamalan.

They are essentially clones/homunculus , as cloning technology is a thing in fallout way back in Vault city. They don't see synths as real people solely because they made them. But if no one can tell the difference beside the 'synth component' item that is just minor plastic, then really there is no difference at all.

So, going by the fact that the synth stood up out of the skin pool at 2:20, it takes 2 minutes and 20 seconds of real time to create a synth. Since time in Fallout 4 runs 20 times faster than real time, that means it takes 46 minutes and 40 seconds of game time to make a single gen 3 synth. The Institute is cranking these things out at a rate of a little over one per hour, or 30 per day. That's 215 per week, or 864(!) per month if this facility runs around the clock. Where do they put them all? Why are they building them? There has to be some ultimate goal that they don't tell you about, even if you choose to become their Director. It's definitely not about "redefining humanity," as they claim. Also, the teleportation used by the Institute is too big an advantage over the other factions. They wouldn't need to send anyone to wipe out the BoS or the Minutemen if they wanted to - just teleport a bomb onto the Prydwen or into the Castle. Job done. They could do the same thing to the Railroad if they knew where their HQ was.

@huy2119 жыл бұрын
+WarUnleashedGaming what I'm saying is that I think although humanity is capable of replicating themselves into a machine form, but we still are the masters. Those creations are simply tools for us. Like hammers and saws and what not. They're not meant to have a sense of purpose or belonging. They're machinery. A quite complex one to say the least. And it's our job to be responsible of said machinery. We have to monitor them and take care of them so they won't somehow become rebellious of their owner. They are in no way organic so they don't deserve to have a "conscious" mind. Excuse me for being so dramatic and morbidly depressing here but it's a creation we make that we have to ultimately bear the responsibility for. And before anyone says that a synth being a tool is like a slave. No it's not, it's a machine that we create to help serve our endeavors. Synths CAN help humanity, but it also has capability to destroy humanity. I see a Synth as a machine, nothing else.

My inner anatomy student is just so agitated by this. The bones would honestly need more spacing due to the fact that there needs to be cartilage to cushion them unless the bone material they're using is somehow able to resist "wear and tear" without it --- or the second stage mesenchyme, nervous stem cell, and myoblast weaving somehow spaces the bones out for it. Even then we don't see an opening for the smooth muscle tissue needed for the ureter but you can see the intestine forming --- which makes me wonder how they go about introducing gut bacteria or if that's worked into the process. Also is an entirely cybernetic brain inside the skull already or is soft neural tissue added during the second part? The third step is basically blood and the shock to get the initial heart/nervous ATP respiration processes going, but that last part is apparently a lipid bath for the formation of skin, which I'm assuming they're using nanites to help with the placement of subcutaneous fat along the face for different features? There also appears to be at least a working variant of external genitals, but there should be vascular and muscle tissue there as well to help with erm... function... Then... I have to remind myself it's just a game. @_@ * twitch

Chaos Core They don't actually need one. with their kind of precision tech, they can just cut out whatever's broken in Father, & then replace it with synthetic organs. if that ain't available, cybernetics then, just like how they did Kellogg. worse comes to worst, i guess they can still transplant his brain into a synth body. Possibility's aplenty, but the writers overlooked all that & just have him die by cancer anyway. no excuse can cover for that level of bad writing.

Magnificent. And just ilustrates why the Institute is my favorite group in F4. Frankly there goal is also corect. Re-defining humanity. And in the Fallout-verse, it definitly shuld be re-defined. I mean how far have "human beings" falled in there?! Nuclear anihilation, no rebuilding done, and no learning from mistakes. Nobody except the Institute, that is. We got raiders, slavers, all other asorted scum, all of them "human beings"promoting more mizery and death. Not to mention all the sick shit done pre-war (Vault-Tec, Hallucigen, etc). And we got narrow-minded militant relics of the old-world like Enclave and BoS, we got savages like Legion and exploiters like NCR, if the world keped up like that, it wuld just end up destroying it-self all over agen, once rebuilt (if ever). And that time, maybe permanent. No... humanity in Fallout-verse does not dezerve a second chance. You wuld think nuclear armagedon teached them a lesson? NO. It didnt, they are back to the same old tricks. It wuld be the same thing all over agen, given enogh time. Until Earth it-self gets fucked-up permanently. So... its time for a new species to rise in the place of humans, and that wuld be synths. Humanity... re-defined. Baring a few exeptions like Gabriel, almost all synths are more humane then 99% of humans. They ARE superior. Physicaly, and morally. Thankfuly in the real world, we havent degenerated that far. If we ever did... I wuld feel the same way about real humanity. But in Fallout-verse, it shuld be re-defined. The slate shuld be wiped clean. As a new species, one more worthy of existance. One less likely to destroy it-self, or the Earth.

Honestly, regarding synth freedoms, I'm pretty much 100% with Father on them just being machines. The Railroad is out of it's mind, and might as well try to "Liberate terminals." as one of the scientists and Deacon put it. Outside of that one issue, the Institute causes a lot of un-needed destruction for no reason. The Brotherhood and Minutemen are the only two "Good" options. The Brotherhood can be xenophobic, and elitist, yet, they do wipe out a lot of the monsters in the wasteland, things that generally try to kill travelers. If they learned to be more accepting toward "Intelligent" mutants, and Non-feral ghouls, such as the chapter in Tactics, they would get very far. Even still, I think it's stupid how if you're not with the institute, you HAVE to nuke it. There should be a different way.

The institute were able to make teliporters, a beryllium nuclear reactor, superior unit like the gen 1 and gen 2 synth to those robot scorpions and being able to make the first Synthetic organic organism which think tank did not do. Also, majority of think tanks invention were from the pre war era where resource were plenty but the institute had to scrapped their way to their current status with many sacrifices and efforts. So it's hard to decide.

If reason coupled with the lines by your character's brain (who is the actual character we were playing up until this DLC quest started) said after the DLC main quest was finished the Big MT was even able to create true AGI and mind uploads via a synthetic (non-organic) brain that can be implanted into skulls.
