Fallout 4 Let's Build: Nordhagen Village - Part 1
Welcome to the first episode of my Nordhagen Beach build. Im going to turn Nordhagen Beach into a fishermen's village with a large boardwalk and several docks and piers, with stores, houses and such all along the beach. In this episode I build most of the boardwalk and one and a half buildings.

About the glitched settler: that reminds me of a small side quest in Skyrim where a man asks the player to rescue his wife who has been abducted by bandits... only, she hasn't been abducted. She's actually the bandit leader, who just wanted him to think she's been taken because she couldn't tell him she wanted out of the marriage. Maybe Mrs Nordhagen did the same? ;-)

Yes, I will be playing Skyrim Remastered. I'll be testing mods on PS4 and doing mod reviews, and then in December when I get my PC I'll be doing a let's play of Skyrim Remastered with mods.

I’m imagining a pier going out over the water with 4 small various home/stores staggered across from each other. 2 more up on the beach 🏖 All with bunk beds, able to house a dozen or so settlers. Great vid 👍🏻

I would recommend moving the kitchen toward the shore, so it's not blocking the view. You may also want to add a second staircase so your settlers don't get stuck upstairs.

Thanks for doing this build. I have been stumped about Nordhagen forever. I can see there is a lot of potential here but I've just not been able to tease it out for some reason. Also, congrats on passing 10k subscribers!

I have found that when they are glitched like that. Where they just stand there and don't move, if you run or walk into them it kind of pushes them along and jump starts them. After a few minutes of doing that, they take off. The first building was very simple but looks great. Fits right in with a boat house feel!!

Love the Builds, been working on my own build for Nordhagen Beach, mine has a much "shabbier" look...but I love how you have done the boardwalk! I might say a good addition to the build would be a fisherman's wharf to source some seafood for the restaurant...maybe...?

Perhaps a large water purification off the end of the boardwalk with a small maintainence shack/home for the caretaker with a smallish pier that is accessed from the shack that leads to the purification unit and power supply?

Yay, Nordhagen Beach build! :) Just wondering for the restaurant how it might look if the second floor was made into a patio either uncovered or partially covered with awnings ( like you made for the traders at Abernathy farm ) You could have those patio tables scattered around and maybe a bar up top too. Just a thought and you did ask... :)

Another thing that might be cool , if you replaced some of the floors in your restaurant with glass , so the people can watch the water under there feet , like glass bottom boats....lol

I'm currently working on a bar/restaurant in Nordhagen myself. It is a great build area. I'm loving your double wide boardwalk...it has great potential. I'd love to see a row of the oil streetlamps down the center of it.

You loosing a lot of valuable window seating with the kitchen in that corner. I have a half wall and counter in mind to act as a "pick up" winow for the wait-staff. Maybe some light fixtures for heat lamps? Whatever you do, it makes me brainstorm, thanks! :) :)

I play tabletop RPGs. Well, I have anyway. I don't currently have a gaming group. It's hard to find a group of adults who can commit to a game on a regular basis. Particularly adults over 25, as many folks start to get married, have kids, have careers and all that can impact available time. But I've played a lot of RPGs and it can be really fun if you have a good game master.

About the barn pillar. If you place two pillars at the nearest snap-points to the corner you want to support - one on either side - you should be able to slip a third one into the very corner without it snapping elsewhere. Than just remove the two temporary ones and you;re good to go.

I've never been able to do that. They always just snap in anyway, overlapping the others.

So true! I was going to make a separate how to video on making the farm house in my Abernathyville. The one I made for the Abernathys with the covered porch. I couldn't duplicate it! I tried making it the exact same way, and it just wouldn't work. So frustrating.

I tried to replicate your "Deathclaw zoo" idea in Vault 88 and it somehow escaped, right through the wall! So weird. Made for quite the exciting surprise, though. ;)

Q&A: Would you like a true build anywhere that lets you build your own settlement/player home anywhere on the map? IE: A settlement in the middle of nowhere or on a river/shore line that can be just about any size that you can customize as you see fit.

The mod only lets you build within the boundary of pre-determined areas as I understand it you still need a workshop to make it work. I was asking about being able to place a workshop(s) in an area like Bunker Theta or the Red Rocket fuel station in the Cambridge area close to the College Admin/Cambridge Polymer Labs.

I always want to build nice stuff, but I always end up making practical settlements filled with turrets. My previous build was supposed to look like this, but it had a concrete wall along the shore, with water purification coming off of it. I'm tempted to go upstairs and follow yours step by step, cos I never have any ideas 🤔

There is a half-height wall in Warehouse that is just window. Two stacked would be floor to ceiling window if you didn't want the metal skirting?

Yeah I know, but then it's up way too high, because you have to have a half wall under it. So you can't actually look out the window because it's above your head. I wanted the windows lower so you can look out when sitting at the tables, but not all the way touching the floor.

Hey I have a ps4 also. There is a mod that gives you different Warehouse textures. They have a blue one that's real nice. I use it a lot in my builds. If you don't have it already you should check it out. I like your builds!

I've always just walked up and talked to the people who live there. They might give you a quest to help them, and once you help them you can build there. Preston also might give you the quest to help the settlement.

I think you do minutemen quests then after castle you’ll get a quest about greenskins and you help these people

You don't get paid, really? So your homeless and your spouse does not provide a home? Your spouse does not buy food either I take it, is that right? You have no access to spend money in your spouse's checking account? If all of these things are false then how are you not being compensated for you not working an outside job? And if you are receiving compensation from your spouse how is that not being paid? And since you don't have a paycheck what expenses are you paying for and where did the money not provided from your spouse come from?
