Alternatively, you don't even need to meet Pickman to get Pickman's blade. That safe isn't key open only like some mission safes or doors. If you know which painting has the safe behind it and a high enough lockpick skill, you can just get the blade.

I always go get this blade as soon as I can make it through the gauntlet. Makes a no guns run easy peasy.

@@Burningsteel 2 lbs is a very worthy weight payment for the increase in damage even in survival, as I haven't ran into enough enemies for the minimal speed difference to matter

@@GabrielSneed-b9f I could take 3 extra grenades or plenty of spare ammo with me. Melee dmg is so OP that it doesnt matter what kind of weapon you use, you wont find an enemy that will survive an attack with Pickmans Blade ( if you skilled melee combat)

Ever since I found Chance’s knife in New Vegas I’ve fallen in love with these sharp stabby implements of destruction and Pickman’s Blade is no exception. Actually a fallout 4 Pickman build would be a great idea, thanks for the great video Mo.

While Pickman's Blade is great, it doesn't quite cut it (pun intended) at higher levels. This is when you upgrade to the Throatslicer. It has the same legendary effect, but higher base damage, and it's sold by Katelyn Alden in Nuka World. Upgrade it with a cutlass blade, and you're good to go. If one sides with the Disciples, Nisha will give you an Instigating Disciple Cutlass if you speak to hear after Power Play-mission. Once you have it, you win!

I agree and its something I hope to cover in the near future. I have not really touched much of the DLC yet other than some glitches but hopefully soon. Thanks for sharing. I may one day make a comparison video too.

Any combat knife can be made into pickmans stealth blade with lvl 2 blacksmith so why bother with pickmans dungeon. Sorry to throw water on your video but thats the truth of the matter.

Although true your missing on3 key point. Pickmans Blade has the unique wounding effect which stacks as you use it. This stacking effect does not apply to standard knifes. What makes this weapon OP is pairing the effect and the Stealth mod.

@@TrappedInFallout Maybe so but if you are running a stealth melee build that extra bleed damage is pretty much weak in an attack with any chem addon like psychobuff or bufftats. Even dirty wastelander will smoke any enemy in a melee build character..Add in a critical and its lights out.
