i find it such a stupid point that they are saying it has no purpose since its a singleplayer game at its core, but then you got fallout new vegas and the multiplayer mod for that game turned it into a MMO with player led and created factions with wars in it and roleplay, the quests work well aswell even though they are designed for singleplayer, i can say this from personal experience as i play that mod on new vegas, pretty damn fun, and its the reason that got me to buy the game.

Yeah, i dont blame them. 3 years ago we all thought Skyrim multiplayer is impossible. But they made it happened. Them saying that fallout 4 is harder or near impossible because of it's code is understandable. Coming from them.

@@valyshknee4203 yeah some examples for Demonstration purpose by the very same people who now say its not worth the effort. Seeing a few minutes of working Multiplayer does not mean its possible for the whole game. Only that it worked in exact locations for a most likely Limited timeframe.

Would love a new FO game with just some small peer-2-peer, not like the giant server-based stuff that 76 is. But I doubt Bethesda would entertain such an idea because you can't put a cash shop in it. Or if you did, it wouldn't be so successful.

skills in terms of programming or just general video game engineering? There isn't really a general "game making" thing to learn since it encompasses various things, but programming is a decent start for most people. Since its a pretty major part. :)

@@covenantkid Script is the MAIN skill to know. It affects EVERYTHING...animations? Scripting is needed to make them work, especially if Physics are involved.

The first release version of Reborn was actually really buggy for me and a friend, so much that we stopped, otherwise we did have fun with it

Honestly it's a shame because I would love to play one of the normal Fallout games with a friend in co-op mode not multiplayer like 76 I wish Fallout games did have a co-op mode so I can run around with a friend or my case my girlfriend she is a big fallout fan but I can't play with her because because most people wants it single player honestly shouldn't be that hard to have a fallout game with basic 2 to 4 local play or over online but it's strictly 2 to 4 players I don't think it's a really big ask not asking for Fallout 76 multiplayer servers just asking for a co-op mode like Halo and a couple of other games because it's the one thing I don't like about 76 there's no storyline and one of the main line Fallout games would be perfect but there's no co-op mode

I have the same situation now with my S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Anomaly Multiplayer. There's no C++ devs that want to help us for free. Our mod works and looks like anomaly for now, but it isn't optimised that well that i want.

I have this copium, that one fay Fallout 76 will stop giving support to the game, and when that day comes. Someone might do a Tale of Two Wastelands 2. Where they'll make a mod where the player can enjoy both Appalachia, and Boston. And since 76 has multiplayer support built into it. People will be able to make small lobbies to enjoy Fallout 4, in an update version of the creation engine alone, or with friends.

For me, it was never about playing a single player game with a friend, the idea was always to share a highly customizable experience specifically made for me and my friends tastes, I hate pretty much everything about vanilla Fallout 4 except for the fact that it's an open world looter shooter/rpg where you can replace nearly everything, and thus Fallout 76 is not even a consideration since you're basically stuck with the crappy vanilla experience, and that's not even mentioning the bugs, grindiness, or the fact that the game is pretty much a burning pile of trash. It's really sad to see that there aren't any developers interested in keeping the project alive, especially since I was under the impression that there was a dev team dedicated to it just like Skyrim together, I honestly thought that any day a working build would come out and was really hyped for it 😭 If I had the money, I'd hire a team to make it. 🥲

Saying that most people don't use mods is like stating that the sky is blue, on steam most people didn't even reach level 25, and only around 30% actually finished the game, it's for that 30% of actual fans of the game that mods are made, not the 70% that plays the game a couple times then moves on to something else. Also, when Fallout London and the New Vegas remaster drop, I'm confident that there will be a newly found demand for a multiplayer mod.
