I just want them to add more mod space to the consoles versions, they didn’t do it to the next gen Skyrim version that was upsetting, it’s still 5GB. Fallout 4 is currently only 2GB mod space , when 1 uploaded DLC mods cost up to 800MB and new guns and armor go around 200MB it adds up 2GB isn’t enough. I hope this time they will add more mod space for the next gen version of fallout. I wish more people would talk about this problem.

Also, make the settlers a little more useful. Make it so you don't have to do almost everything for them.....take some hints form the Sim Settlements series of mods. Also, Redo the nonsensical cap of 50 on robot happiness, they should actually ADD to settlement happiness, not detract from it After all, they don't consume resources, can work 24-7, make great defenders if you mod them up via the Automatron bench. Just place a cap on how much happiness they can add.

The BIGGEST thing that BGS needs to fix, especially for console users, is the Death Triangle between Faneuil Hall, Haymarket Mall and Goodneighbor. Literally getting to the point where Fanueil Hall loads into memory causes Xbox to hard crash, immediately, whether one is using mods or not. This area has always been a problem, even on PC (mainly in FPS drops), but on next gen consoles, its a death sentence. They need to rebuild those entire series of cells and find the memory leak or other issue that causes the hard crash. Otherwise, releasing a "next gen update" for the next gen consoles, is useless, since they STILL wont be able to 100% play the game.

Man, all the changes I want to see are just tiny little things that always drive me crazy when I play. Weapons not holstering to your character model. Wearing most clothes/under armor makes armor pieces turn you fat unless you’re wearing the vault suit or BOS uniform. Reloading guns like the lever action rifle not working sensibly for the amount of bullets in the gun. Definitely slimming down the size of a lot of guns. Then the biggest thing I’d like is an automation mechanic for settlements. I know mods fix a lot of this stuff, but I always find if I have to spend too much time modding the game I lose interest in actually playing.

After playing FO76 for a while, going back to FO4 and not having mutations is gonna feel weird I reckon.. I need my Marsupial & Speed demon mutations, otherwise it feels like I'm playing in slow motion 😂

@LoneVaultWanderer that would be cool, though as I Playstation player I know we are limited with the mods we can download. I think the biggest addition I'd like to see is more content. The amount they added in the Skyrim anniversary edition (questlines, location, weapons, armour etc.) added so much replayabilty for me! But ultimately, if all they added was a 60fps fix for consoles then I'd still buy it, I love FO4 and don't need much of an excuse to replay it 😆

I don't know about pc version but Xbox there are few fo76 style mods, ammo crafting, mutations and even a duffel bag which when placed down can be used to store all your stuff and even set up a camp

The absolute most important thing they NEED to fix is the Boston crashes above all else. The game is literally unplayable for a ton of players on every platform, mostly console but these crashes even happen on high end PCs. This entire Next Gen update is pointless for tens of thousands of players if they don't fix the non stop crashing.

The mod "High FPS Physics Fix" have features of Load Accelerator, And fixes most issues, But still you will need to cap FPS to 120 if you are using Jetpacks and power armor or you get White Screen while in the air. I just hope this update makes this mod obsolete.

Adding a way to holster your weapons but make them show up on your back or hip or maybe you can even configure where they go would be such a nice touch. Creation club content I would like to see is something with the Enclave, like enclave settlement building pack since we have the Hellfire and X-02 it would be so cool to build an outpost and have an enclave radio beacon where you could attract remnants, it could also be a great template for a very interesting quest more. Also, idk if it’s true or not but it may be possible if you have the creation club mod for the hellfire power armor that some gunners may spawn with that type of power armor, but I’ve never seen it. Have any of you? I would love some more New Vegas creation clubs, weapons, Ranger armor stuff like that. I would love to see some more bounty creation clubs where you could be a gun for hire, this could tie greatly into a small Gunner story quest line.

The bug with Paladino Danse where he wont stop saying "check your fire, we got hostiles!" and keeping us from advancing is his quest, was what made me stop playing the game last time I played. Hope is gone in this update.

I was excited to try mods on PS4, however I kept getting that 0kb save bug and it ruined a lot of playthrus. They NEED to fix this. Some people say it was caused by creation club mixing with mods, some people say it was weapon skin CC content, I don't know, I tried many things and it always ended up happening.

@@LoneVaultWanderer Memory leak in the cells around Fanuiel Hall. Instant hardlock or crash to dashboard when those cells load. Coming across Hatmarket Mall from Bunker Hill, the moment Fanueil Hall loads into the loaded cells, death of game. Same if you are going towards Fanuiel from Goodneighbor. Forget about trying to get to Fanueil Hall on Series S/X, its impossible. I mean, its ALWAYS been a problem area for PC players too (frame drops). But on next gen consoles, it causes a memory leak or a hard lock to the processor. And its ONLY there. Even the death triangle of Sancturay/RedRocket/Abernathy is more stable that around Fanueil Hall on next gen xbox. Sad sad sad.

This game has got to be my favorite game of all time. No game has ever captured my imagination and fascination as well as this game did. I’ll admit it was my first Fallout game, so I had the luxury of going into the game not comparing it to the previous Fallout games and played it for the game it is. With that said I really want more Fallout. I’d love to see Fallout 4 get some sort of new story content. I still feel as if Fallout 4 could have gotten way more dlc than it got and people would have gladly bought it up.

Just a reminder that with Creation Club updates Bethesda broke the area between Faneuil Hall, Haymarket, and Good-neighbor making the area a guaranteed crash zone for many players, making completing parts of the game difficult if not impossible. My hope for Fallout 4 next-gen update is that Bethesda doesn't break more parts of the game, fix for above problem would be welcome.

I played fallout 3 in it's day on Xbox 360 and New Vegas on PC years later in the late 2010s, before I played Fallout 4. I came back to Fallout 3 on Xbox Series S with high resolution and the later 60fps update. Fallout 3 is my favorite, but New Vegas needs a resolution and 60fps update on Xbox One X and Xbox Series X/S. Microsoft are going to update Fallout 3 and New Vegas for modern audiences instead of giving console gamers a simple update.

Ive never been able to actually play fallout 4. I own the game but it crashes so much that it’s not worth playing. Not to mention the horrible main quest story. It sucks!!! No one cares about finding your son that you only knew for 2 seconds. What happened to being a wastelander? Can’t we just be a real lone wanderer. I don’t want to play as some kind of family man. I actually figured out the 0kb bug. It’s tied to two of the skins for the Pip-Boy in the Creation Club. I believe it was the Yellow and the Pink. Could be wrong about which colors they were, but it 100% stopped me from getting that bug after I stopped downloading those skins!

I hope they add a fixed dialog system, for instance it says what your character actually does say, and it's in a style of rows of dialog options like in previous fallout games. And possibly an option for a silent protagonist. And I 100% agree with you Lone on the guns, I don't use laser weaponry solely because they are way too big, especially compared to the previous games.

I love Fallout 4, and it is in fact my favorite game. I have over 800 hours on two separate run-throughs. I would STILL be playing either of those, but both were hit by the Build Cap bug, which happens once you hit a certain number of built items in the game you can no longer control or assign any of your settlers. In my mind it is the biggest bug that Bethesda needs to fix. I understand that in 2015 they didn't realize that building would be as popular as it is, but in 2023 there is no reason it is still a problem. And since it is hard-baked into the engine, it can't be modded out or otherwise fixed; Bethesda needs to do it.

And something greatly appreciated would be level listed weapons like 76, That way the minigun you get at the start of the game (level 1) would serve its theatrical purpose and would still be viable end game as a level 50 weapon (more examples out there but that’s the main one)

Fast travel indoors, quick boy, hud power armor options, outfits goijg over armor, perhaps a creation club item could be mutations ? Also, they should fix what ballistic weave can be applied to, that way you don’t end up just wearing a fedora with 110 damage resistance at the end game, need more options

@@TYRYT It’s just a cheap way to make loot seem more interesting than it is. Damage numbers, leveled guns, buffs etc are a blight on the gaming industry that looter shooters and MMOs started that everyone seems to want to follow now. It’s just an unnecessary silly „grey rifle bad, green rifle better“ system. In Fallout 76 it’s fine, I think MMOs sadly need a weapon system like that to be interesting. But these games shouldn’t be looter shooters with end game BS or inspired by MMOs. Skyrim didn’t have that, it’s the same as all the other games. A 10mm pistol or iron sword should be the same throughout the entire game and more guns should show up as you level up, but those weapons should only be affected by your skills. From what we‘ve seen in starfield they will also gladly continue that way of leveling

I LOVE Fallout 4. I play it on Series S. I stopped playing for 1 reason… the game crashes every time I enter Boston (Swans Pond area). So any quest in that area are near impossible to do and makes the game unplayable. It didn’t do this when I played on PS4, and apparently a lot of people are experiencing this. Hopefully (I'M BEGGING) this update fixes that.

I honestly dont know what BGS will try to push for this update. Fallout 4 has tons of problems that are unfixable, at least on consoles, because they would basically need to remake the game from the ground up. I think that the best way to go about some of the problems is actually to downscale the graphics so the game engine can actually tank the stuff loading concurrently in boston. We cant even get more mod space because it would break LOs.

Females only have female clothes and armour, that can only be worn by females. This would make finding clothes and armour in Survival Mode, harder. Fixes... Dropped Items don't reset their stats, to allow items to maintain their status's. Such as broken and partially damaged clothes, along with broken and partially broken weapons, etc...

The improvement I want to see is Workshop mode. I want the lights and lighting to be far more effective and dynamic (lighting through walls), better pathfinding and NPC's not becoming inert and non-functional like they do in large settlements or the Vault DLC. Oh and no delay for activating Workshop mode and get rid of object collision when placing a object and being able to make them static.

They need to fix these bugs: - Downtown Boston crashes - 2 fps when near Greentech Genetics - 0 kb save glitch - The game forgetting that you have DLC installed when you launch it (They might have already fixed this) - Certain lights turning off but still being powered when you return to your settlements (Especially the spotlights) - The Level 4 traders (EXTREMELY BUGGED) - Not being able to open the vault door when you start a new character Easy ways they could make the game better: - make settlement objects be able to be viewed from very far away - Increase the chance for finisher animations - Add 4 of the creation club cc for free - Get better textures with a noticeable change - Sort holotapes, letters, magazines, etc. differently - make the really tall bushes and plants in settlements scrappable - make the guns smaller in the first-person view - be able to turn off object collision in workshop mode - make some of the preexisting buildings in settlements not have huge holes in them

The game will run higher than 60fps fine but not much past 60. I run my game at around 90 and i dont encounter bugs with it. Now 120 or 144? yeah thats bad. That should be a easy fix. The ultra wide support would require a bit more work. The UI is flash objects projected onto a set of screen meshes. They will move to fit your screen but they dont stretch evenly. Say the settlement menu. The menu is made up of multiple parts and dont all move with resolution/aspect ratio changes evenly. They might have to change how the ui meshes work. Might have to change all the HUD flash files to stretch. Might have to add a complete set of new meshes for each aspect ratio. Or make new meshes that stretch. Meaning any mod that messes with the old meshes wont work and will crash the game. Example, robot DLC workbench wont work with fallout 4 VR since the DLC looks for a UI mesh with a specific name that fallout 4 VR dont have. Fallout 4 VR has a curved mesh for viewing in VR. Flat fallout 4 has a flat set of meshes with different names.

Cross save would be nice. So I can play my PS4 save file on my steam deck. BTW. If I cannot play my old save files, this whole next gen update is basically useless for me, since I am not going to throw all my workshop creations into the trash. I built so much in F4 that it is impossible for me to recreate all that stuff in a new run. And would be nice if you could play the story line again on the same save file. So that you keep everything you built, but can clear all objectives from every faction anyway. Some quests are broken, and I cannot finish them. Like the quest: Here Kitty Kitty. Whatever I do, I cannot interact with the cat. BTW, Codsworth needs to be on the VIP Tracker. I lost him but he is nowhere to be found. I know he is still alive since I found him back after 4 years, but then my PS5 crashed....... And he was not saved in the cloud file.

Guarantee you this is going to break the shit out of PC modding just like they did with Skyrim. Here is what will happen, they will update the creation club maybe drop some free mod content, add a cash shop a season pass just like 76. If you think they are fixing engine bugs 😂, remember this is Bethesda. And don't get me wrong I am still playing Fallout 4, but if you are not modding and playing on PC the game is shit. Don't get your hopes up there will be more pain than pleasure with this update, the creation engine is a ancient piece of shit. Good luck everyone.

I really like FO4 but I have never ever won any achievements [ in all the years I have owned this game ] as I can't play FO4 without mods, try as hard as I can the game is so glitched it makes it impossible to play. Never mind upgrading the game just fix the problems of the original game. One day I hope to play FO4 without any mods...I can still dream.

I just want more mod memory, man. I know they wanted to cap it at first because they didn’t know if it would actually work or not, but it feels really unfair now that Skyrim has 5gigs of space while Fallout 4 is stuck at 2gigs, especially with how the best mods for Fallout 4 easily take up that space. I'm sorry but, half the issue you've stated have been fixed by mods. Is this only for consoles, did I miss that part of the video or something? The physics being tied to the FPS are fixed with High-Phyics FPS Fix + Buffout 4 for most other issues.

How about they fix the bug where sometimes codsworth won't search sanctuary with you or acknowledge that Sean isn't there. Breaks the minute men quest line. You end up either having to start all over or waiting on long enough for codsworth to fix himself. It takes hours of real time play before that happens though.

A big issue that wasn't mentioned, Bethesda NEEDS to fix the LoD if they want to actually call it a nextgen update. The LoD at distance is complete trash, especially when looking through a gun scope, even for when the game came out.

Might be amusing if this time they got together with the Unofficial [game] patch authors and actually implemented the fixes to the base game. Maybe even working with the Script Extender authors and adding the functionality to the base game might also be nice. Spending a while looking at the game fixes section of the mod sites and making some of those mods obsolete. But I'm sure the CC content (with even more issues) and HD Texture pack (with its issues and not being as nice as what's out there) we end up with will be nice...

Still after many years we are not free from the fear of saying that we love Fallout 4? I don't really understand this, don't get me wrong though i believe that FNV is the supreme fallout game in many ways especially in storytelling and the NPC's which live and breathe in the Mojave but Fallout 4 is a great game with a big world to explore, the Commonwealth is a very interesting and colourful place to travel, it has way better gun play, the power armour system is just magnificent, you feel literally like a tank, superior graphics, real next gen stuff, incredible and interesting NPC's to meet and it has so many stuff to offer, at least im honest that no fallout game is good without mods to support them and that's a fact. By the way if someone wants to make Fallout 4 a really fun game that you will never get bored of it download Sims settlement's 2, trust me, you will lose yourself to the world of the Commonwealth with this mod, it's just phenomenal, it's literally a dlc for this game.

Oof no if they pull a skyrim ill probably quit playing it completely, Pre Installing mods is an absolutely terrible choice and I refunded skyrim immediately after buying it when I found out, who wants to never be able to play vanilla again and be stuck with someone elses mod choices? The pre installed cc content is not removable on console. So if it updates and installs "free" cc content without my permission and doesn't make it removable this time Ill quit playing this too.

High FPS Physics Fix is a mod that allows the frame rate to go higher than 60 frames per second without breaking the game. Also you can lock FPS at 60 and allow it to higher for loading screens cutting load times down to a fraction of what they are without the mod. Far more than what you will get in anything Bethesda release because they are not going to fix the physics issue with fps.

The issue with F4SE is not F4SE itself, Because that will probably be updated fast, but the plugins, Most F4SE plugins (If not all) will not work on the new Engine update, And most modders did not update the plugins in years, and moved away from development. And will not be updating the mods to work with the new update. So must people will just stay way from the update and use a downgraded version of the game / F4SE. Most new players or people who just use BethesdaNet or who does not use any mods will be just fine.

I wasn't aware that Bethesda was going to offer an updated F4 game engine - though I guess I shouldn't be too surprised, Take 2 re-released the first 2 Bioshock games updated with the Infinite engine (and a few little odds and ends added on). I just hope it works well with a I7/4770 and GTX1650 super. And I would definitely like my SSD to work better - it's still almost 30 seconds to load the Nuka Town cell from an interior. Boston is the same way - the only reason I know my SSD is actually helping is the the stutter when you near the bridge to Sanctuary is gone. And while I (fortunately) have not encountered any downtown Boston bugs (unless you count heading out toward the castle), I just recently had a bug in Nuka World's World of Refreshment quest - all of my weapons started shooting blanks. I emptied magazine after magazine into a nukalurk with no effect at all on the health meter. Weird I know. I would also like to see some new Creation Club items - I've got all the ones I want, and only check back to see what freebies are available. It would be nice to have something interesting in there again. PS I like the bioshock reference, keep up the good work.

Regarding the creation club, I think that Bethesda gave it very bad marketing, they sold it as a paid mods store when in reality it should have been sold as a DLC store, which in the end was what they intended, adding content monthly for years to receive new official content. However, it is also true that Creation club in Fallout 4 was done very badly, half of the content is skins, colors and pieces that are relatively useless, in Skyrim very interesting missions and new spells were created as well as constructions and funny plots of play etc, in Fallout 4 they did not add practically anything important and although I bought things that seemed interesting to me, many others seemed bullshit to me and speaking of bullshit, many skins but they have not added wigs to change the hairstyle of our companions, they only added 5 pompedurs to the base game and are exactly the same. I'm looking forward to announcing all the features, new creation club creations, and enhancements that Fallout 4 Next Gen will add and saying its release date.

Bethesda knows about next gen that the game freezes not only in downtown but in Hangman's alley and the north church where the railroad are located, this is running with out mods. I tested on my Series s & X and I have a One X I have no problems with 137 mods roaming in downtown.

I played on ps4 and now ps5 I find ps5 is worse for crashing. I only play on survival and what I find is the further I get into game and higher level I get to if seems to get worse probably due yo game having more info i.e items to save. Early game isn't to bad for it. But playing on survival is irritating as balancing saving in every random bed or mattress which causes more illness and gambling on game not crashing and going longer between saves. I love the game I'd by far my most played game I have nearly 1000 hours between ps4 and ps5 I hope they can solve crashing. Also I never use vertabirds at all as soon as if gets anywhere near Boston it instantly crashes

here's hoping they fix The Triangle Of Death if you don't know what the Triangle Of Death is it's when more then one workshop loads in within CELL range and cause the game to crash. The game is built like a Grid each grid is a cell if anyone was wondering.
