Fallout 4 Wasteland Workshop Settlement Builds, whats up guys! today where building ourselves a nice house on the beautiful sunny Nordhagen Beach settlement, essentially where rebuilding the Modern House 2.0 version, I'm going to use this opportunity to explain the new concrete prefabs and the tips and tricks to building complex structures with the Wasteland Workshop DLC.

Just a little tip for anyone here that decorates quite a bit with junk items...do not have a Deathclaw in your settlement if you decorate with junk. Their stomps are so powerful it shakes the ground and makes everything fly away to never never land. I learned that the hard way.

+Phoenix Usually when you decorate when junk in the workshop mode things stay in place even with settlers around. I suppoused they patched with lasts patches.

Just built a cute little general store. Decorated it out the wazoo with junk items. I leave, come back. Stuff completely disappears, sinks thru the floor, falls on the floor, whether I place in workshop mode or not. It doesn't allow me to play the game unless I accept the updates and patches that come through. I have them all. So, after 1.5 patch/update whatever ya wanna call it, none of my junk items are fixed at all. I am speaking only for my particular game. And yes, Deathclaws will still mess my decorations up and so will settlers. If anyone's junk items are fixed, I'm happy for you, that's great. I'm just saying that for my game, having done many tests, none of my junk items are fixed in any way. No improvement at all. I know some others are still having this problem too, it's not just me. My original post, as always, is meant to be helpful to all in the community. It's not to be negative or argumentative in any way. It's sometimes hard to convey meaning thru just texting. +TLK GAMING I walled in all of the settlement with concrete and junk fences before, so when I built this i just made it all connect at the house and put turrets on all the walls at like 5 space intervals. That settlement is a fortress right now lol

btw I tried to build something like your round base or like Jug's on Spectacle Island. So, the concrete round thing was ok but how the hell do I make floors there? seems pretty impossible)))) Gonna make a modern house now I guess)))

Yeah the floors aren't easy dude, there's a lot of forcing prefabs into each other, but i guess theres no need for that anymore, now the WW content gives us round pieces to work with.

+TLK GAMING But these round pieces are not as huge as concrete blocks, so depending for what is not useful. The other day I saw a video in Draco Invictus channel with a building done in circle with all the floors at the same level. I'd love to know how.

Remade this with an institute flag out front and all my settlers either wearing institute scientist coats with two guards living in two smaller concrete prefabs wearing institute armor and a bunch of white painted protections thanks to the automation DLC. Very nice institute settlement!

Great build, and very well done guide. The only thing that bugged me was the crease between the wall and the roof as seen in the bedroom at 2:37 . It's just the nature of roofing with floor tiles in a concrete structure. Would've been nice if they had included single tile roof tiles, but oh well. When I saw it while building I couldn't figure out what I did wrong, but then I went back and noticed it in your semi-finished tour as well. If you tweak the roof a bit you can get rid it, so nothing major. Anyway, thanks for the vid.

I love all the builds you guys do. I get great ideas from them, but this one I tried to build with you. Wow, you say 'ok take this floor out, put this wall in, put half a floor over her' and I'm yelling at my pad 'wait wait what floor , you spun to fast' ☺️ Your crop area, lost me completely, and I just had to wing it in some parts while praying my final ceiling would work. This is a gorgeous build. Haven't finished yet, almost.....two days lol. I hope you guys do a Coastal Cottage, I am seriously drawing a blank. +Phoenix haha thanks phoenix, i wasn't aware of the deathclaws stomp, that's really good to know, cheers for the heads up, and as for whats up next, i have like 3 builds in progress atm, but i am thinking of bringing a new series out along side this one, a multiple part episode sanctuary build, that way i can put a whole Heep of my ideas into one build over say a 3 part video, building the sanctuary from top to bottom (with the new bar and med clinic etc), let me know what you think, its going to be a big build, i'm going to be building it without editing, so much more slower than normal, let us know what you think :)

Yeah i think its because of one of the updates, to help with the bad AI pathing issues, if you put beds and chairs and stuff in each cell it could possibly fix that..

+Tamara King thanks, yeah sometimes ill come up with a quick base design and then rip it down and start again for the purpose of creating a guide, but this build i built from scratch, top to bottom, i originally was just creating a concrete guide, to show some of the techniques of building with the new concrete prefabs, and then i was like, ohh wait this could work with my Lets Build series lol, and it don't think it came up too bad for minimal planning and only general knowledge of modern architecture.

Yeah i am a 3d Artist in training, and i have my fair share of building experience so it helps a little bit, and most travelling vendors sell stacks of 200 and 100 concrete shipments now as well as Myrna and Percy at Diamond City, you can just go around and get as many as you can and use the new duplication glitch to generate more, i would suggest collecting as many as you can before duplicating coz it can be quite a tedious glitch, so you wont want to do it too much lol, you can find the method here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/iJ23ZoOHrb-pjaM and yes i have thought about making some PC builds, but i think i'm just going to wait for mod support for consoles, thanks again for the feedback tamara, always a pleasure!

Ive noticed you don't use concrete blocks (in wood) to make stairs. I've been looking everywhere and can't figure out how to do it. Basically you sue the blocks to make stairs they are about a half block away from Each other and built like makeshift stairs

+TLK GAMING I got it thanks. Didn't see the dlc I noticed with some perks I got new materials. Went ahead and got the automation dlc as well can't wait to get home and try it all out was late when I got around to download. Is the season pass going to be worth it at $50? Anyone know how many add ons are in the works?

also, I don't get why instead of cutting out parts where you messed up and then fix them, you just keep in them in, making this tutorial a bit harder to follow, I don't mean to complain, just a thought for later on in the future
